Free dedicated parking. Typical clean TWM. Selection was average for TWM, really a nice selection of locals as usual. Prices were average. They keep their website up to date with what they have. I would go back.

Overview: Total Wine Louisville (henceforth TWL) occupies the same space as the short lived Earth Fare grocer. For those familiar with Liquor Barn, especially the newer stores, you’ll be immediately reminded of Kentucky’s alcohol chain upon entering, except... this feels nicer. The fixtures, the use of space: this gives a somewhat more sophisticated vibe than your average LB. Since this is a chain, I can only imagine the setup is pretty similar to other TW stores. There’s a very nice tasting room in the back right corner that seems to be dedicated to wine. Beer is on the left side of the store, and features a twelve tap growler station, mix and match singles by style, and packs/cases by alphabetical order/country- only a small portion is cold, I’m afraid. I’m still wondering if you can grab a beer and wander around, or if the growler station is strictly so...

Service, lots of service! I was asked twice if I needed help, and even then I still observed store associates helping others who had not spoken to me. Very impressive, especially when compared to any Liquor Barn i’ve ever visited. Selection, beer-wise, was comparable to some of the better LBs in the area; the growler station in particular had a state/regional focus. Not sure if they sell much food, so the point goes to Liquor Barn there. Value makes this place stand out; their prices on virtually everything beery beat the lowest prices in town. At least fifty cents less per single; a dollar or more off most packs/cases.

PROS: Great prices; nice place to shop; service in droves. CONS: Cold selection is limited; could do more with food. OVERALL: Definitely raises the bar on the big box style liquor store concept locally. LB might have a significant competitor, especially if they open more than one location...parking all around, since it’s in a shopping center (Paddock Shops).

i stopped by yesterday afternoon, its in the paddock shopping center and not being familiar with this place I kind of drove around till I found it. parking is ok just be careful there is lots of foot traffic. I had a few things in mind before I walked in and just wanted to see if they knew their business. found the first in the wine section. and it seemed to be confusing looking for wines. but I was only looking. found the beers and they seemed to be scattered about and in no real order or sense. noticed a few things cheaper which was a nice surprise. they have plenty of singles scattered about with food items stuck in between them not sure if they want me to buy snacks or not but really wasn’t interested. was in search for a couple particular beers and when I got someone to help they only said they don’t have them. looked at spirits briefly namely vodka and found some brands cheaper. but then again they didn’t carry a certain local one. this made me confused. all in all once they get things in order and properly stocked it should be a stop on the way home from work. otherwise its a heft haul from where I live. they also have a decent cigar collection in the humidor.

In the Paddocks shopping center. Typical Total Wine store - nice selection of beers especially regional and local beers to include a 12 tap growler fill station. Great selection with lots of bombers and a whole shelf of seasonals (which meant a shit-load of pumpkin beers currently). Area is extremely busy - may take some patience to find a parking spot (tons of people not paying attention in the parking lot the day I went). Really a welcomed addition to the area.
