I’ve been going here for years off and on, but not so much lately. I tried it again recently in case the beers had improved. Nope. The service is great. The food is decent. But the beers, for a brewery, are average at best. Yes, I’ve tried them all, including the rare "not on the menu" ones. I didn’t always bother to rate them all, but I tried everything they offer. I can’t choke down their beer just for the ambiance and food. But Houston doesn’t have that many good places, so this one is decent.
Pretty average place. Wouldn’t go there for the beers or the food alone, both being only ok, but with both being ok, gets a bit of a bump. Service can be spotty but they do tend to at least be friendly. One of the more enjoyable places to eat in the Village.
A fairly decent selection of thier own brews on tap (10 during my visit). The service wasn’t friendly, but the bartender was on her own on a Thursday night. Can’t say that I blame her.
It was very average, just like the beers. A good area, but not much in the way of a feel/scene. Kind of too new and too chain/corporte feeling.
One of my favorite places to eat/drink. A good selection of their own brews. Try the Barley Wine, if you like that style. The food is good over-all. The wait staff is usually pretty spot on. This place is definitely above average.
This pub is nice. People are nice and service is great. I met the Brewmaster Ian. He is a very down to earth guy and enjoys talking about his beer. He let me taste his private reserve Whiskey Impy Stout.
