Pub is situated within walking distance of Charles Bridge and Ujezd, on Karmeliska which is fairly packed with restaurants.
The pub stocks Bernard beers, alongside Plisner Urquell and the ORIGINAL Budweiser. Friendly staff speak a limited amount of English, though enough to communicate effectively. As well as a good beer range there is a good hunger-busting food menu that includes Tex-Mex, steaks, tapas and even a Full English breakfast. In addition cocktails are served and Cuban cigars are offered. Smoking is allowed.
Pub is woodpanelled throughout and subdued lighting, and in the street level (upstairs bar) background music ranges from blues to country.
Downstairs the club, for which you must pay an entrance fee of 200Kc, offers live jazz and blues daily from 2130. Although I did not see a live gig this time round I have received numerous recommendations about the music, interested drinkers should view the website directly for further details.
I visited twice on 13th July 2010. The beer was well looked after, I enjoyed my food (beef burrito - good portion), found pricing reasonable for the area and would return during a future visit to Prague. A group of UK tourists there in the evening seemed to be enjoying themselves.
