Best Czech beer/restaurant in Prague! Located in Žižkov, easily reachable from City Center. The place has a wonderful Czech old-fashioned atmosphere. They have 9 Czech beers on tap, some of them rotating. Here you can find beers from the best breweries and micro-breweries of Czech Republic. Food is great! Traditional Czech food, but not touristic and pricey as in city center. Best place for food and Czech beer in Prague.
2018-07-28. The place I enjoyed the most in Prague. Totally old-fashioned. If you are interested in what kind of ambiance nation of czech we're socialising, drinking, celebrating, reflecting, crying, ect. - that's a place. Second, the beer. Some of the best proper czech beer are easiliy and usually found in this place. Few of best Tmave, Svetle Specialni and Vycepni I have ever tried, I tried in this place. Food looking good - at least what I saw - we were happy with snack only - marinated czech cheese: totally recommend it. It was saturday, but thanks to record high temperatures, almost empty. One day, when I'll back at Prague, gonna visit it once again.
Not too far from the Old Town and easily walkable. Old school place with 10 taps of mostly traditional styles. No flights or small pours, jus 0.3L and 0.5L pours. Prices are decent and service is friendly. Worth a stop.
Well, with ŽižkOff, likely the best place in Žižkov. It was quite full when we visited, but we found a table. Bedecked in beer paraphernalia, carrying a good selection of beers, from classic lagers to more modern styles. The crowd was quite mixed and the beer list might just be the reason why. Mainly small brewery labels, with Cernokostolecky Pivovar's Cerna Svine and Zvíkov IPA 15° as standout, but with other interesting stuff too. Fair prices from what I recall. Does what they mostly do, only with a better selection. I'd return here.
