Right in the Old Town, steps from the Charles Bridge and across the way from U Kunštátu, this place is worth a hit just for their Czech Pilsner and Dunkel, which are top notch. Only 0.25L and 0.4L pours available of their beers (39-45Ck), and staff adamantly refused even a sample of their other beers - dicks. Place itself is pleasant. Worth a stop for impeccable examples of the usual boring styles.
Central location, beer bar and restaurant on two floors. 6 taps with their own beers and a couple of glass bottles. Possible to buy beers to go. Daily soup was very good. Cheap prices, great services. Overall: nice.
Centrally located, noisy and busy. Six taps on my visit, half of them actually empty. Service is effective and brisk. Beer is nice (a and varied if all taps were running). No samplers/flights but prices are decent.
Second visit here, on August 3, 2017. A group of us for dinner, sat downstairs. Samled four of their beers from tap and a Czech perry they had on bottle. Good service, but the waitor thought it was hysterical to make fun on the expense of his guests, which got a bit tired after a while. Very cetnrally located, likely will be back on the next trip to Prague.
Visited a Wednesday evening, got there at about 9.30 pm (21:30) on May 20, 2015. Had made a reservation so was seated upstairs. Ate, but didn’t write down what I ate, just remember it tasted nice. Sampled a bunch of their beers with two friends. Fast attentive service. Some 80’s rock/metal playing softly from the speakers. Centrally located, we walked there from Zitna and passed U Medvidku shortly before, also very close to U fleku and U Dvou Kocek. They had 6 beers on draught at the time, including one made special for the hockey championships shortly before. We sampled 5, though they wanted to close early, around 22:15 or so they asked if we could pay so they could close the upstairs.
Visited on 13th July 2017. Multi level traditional venue, organised tours seem to stop here and have a beer, decor is lots of wood panelling to maintain the period look. Beer range was OK with a reasonable range of beers on tap. Prices were Ok but service a little sullen, not sure if it was because we were tourists but made us tramp all the way upstairs when lots of empty tables on ground floor. It was OK but not sure I’d rush back.
Located in city center, good classic pilsner on the menu, nice looking rustic interior, the place was very cold - it was high summer - which was too cold for wearing shorts - kinda weird. Tho good service and fine quality of beers.
