Located in city center, good classic pilsner on the menu, nice looking rustic interior, the place was very cold - it was high summer - which was too cold for wearing shorts - kinda weird. Tho good service and fine quality of beers.
The best option for eating good czech food in the city center. I have to admit that their beer did not impress me much. The pils was ok, but not the best one I had in Prague, the dunkel was ok (but I am not a huge fan of that style). I enjoyea lot their american hop lager, which in the end is the usual pils brewed with american hops. But if you come here, please try their Vienna Lager. I think is one of the best I had in the style so far.
Nice little place. We showed up really early so there was a table. Beers were good. Seven on tap which is solid for Prague. Kind of a bummer though that I couldn’t buy any of the bottles in the case. Service was warmed after a little while. Didn’t try the food.
Very nice restaurant with interesting painted walls. But crowded. It’s recommended to book a table or visit early afternoon if you want to sit (once was absolutely full even on 4p.m.). Service is better upstairs. Quite good selection of their own beers, but after rise of prices on december 2016 is value for money unsatisfactory. But still, I like this place.
Revisited Jan 2017:
Visited on my own in Jan 2017. I walked in and the place was no more than 25% full. The manager came up to me and asked if he could help. I asked for a table for one or maybe just a bar stool. There were a small number of small tables that were already taken and a couple of bar stools that were being used, but plenty of seats around larger tables. The manager refused to find another stool to let me sit at the bar because they "needed to work there" despite the place being very quiet and he refused to give me a seat at a larger table... that given the lateness in the evening and the extreme weather conditions he was unlikely to fill. What he did offer me though was a beer to drink outside in the sub zero temperatures where it was also snowing! Czech hospitality? You won’t be finding it here I’m afraid but there are many other places close by where you will.
A modern Bohemian style brewpub close to the Old Town Square. Seats a good 50 people so it’s not so small. They normally have six draft beers on tap and they sell bottles in the brewery shop over the road. Great Czech food, great service and solid wi-fi. Considering the location, prices are very reasonable too. Most beers are served in 0.25 or 0.3L glasses, so ideal for ticking. This place is now firmly on my Prague map.
