Visited the 13th August for lunch with friends. Really nice old fashion restaurant. Great place to visit with traditionnal food and great craft czech beer. Service is really friendly and really helpful. Really nice place to visit, highly recommended.
Old fashioned, very traditionial pub with always rotating beers on the edge of the Žižkov quarter, part of the (small) U slovánské lípy - U Šumavý - U Vodoucha chain; went there only for the "Cerná svíne" brew, which was really great! Recommended!

For me definitely overrated place. Beers were in terrible condition, meals were slightly above average. Staff was not very quick and nice.

Several rooms, ten taps with good czech rotation, delicious scents from the kitchen. They know some barbecue moves.
Staff knows some english. English menu available. No Smoking, since 31May2017. Bright light from lamps, making it easy to describe the colour of beers. Great place.
On the corner of Borivojova and Jagallonská. Similar to U Slovansky Lipy with a similar beer range. Smokier because the public bar is no so separated from the bigger dining area. Noisier because the staff need to play themselves pointless music. Needs advice on lighting, which is too bright. Worth going to, mind.
(Visited July 2015) Nice and friendly restaurant and beer bar. It’s the sister bar of U Slovanske Lipy, so if you’ve been there you’ll recognize much of the interior, menu and beer list. There are variations though, on both of the latter two. Friendly and efficient service, good traditional food at excellent prices. Good beer selection with 9 taps. It’s possible to walk here from U Slovanske Lipy, but it is uphill all the way. Not far from Beer Geek Bar. It’s definitely wotrth a visit.
U Slovansky Lipy’s sister pub up the road in Vinohrady. A warm and probably more consistently lively pub than Lipy. Similar beers on tap. Similarly high quality pub food. Similarly excellent, engaged staff. Dry hops draped from the ceiling all over. Charming repetitive pattern print on the wall. It’s a very welcoming, traditional yet modern local have which I enjoy greatly.
