This tiny place is on Aurora Ave. near Greenlake. Their location, and size limits the crowd, but humans pack like sardines on event nights. No food, and few places that deliver (PCC across the street). The beer selection is awesome. The tap spectrum leans Belgian, with few session offerings (my fav’). They are proud of their slate of 10%+ beers. One of the few places I can walk away with a few for home use. Plenty of Germans, Smoke beer, Belgian sour, sweet,strong,barley wine...things I rarely find in a Seattle pub. Whatever you are looking for, you can find it and others just like it, maybe better, here.
Very nice place, nice feel, great selection....suffers from the same problems of most other niche watering holes holier than thou attitude served with every drink. Could use something to fill the stomach up with other than beer, maybe some preztles?? Dont need to turn it into the local bar-and-grill but how many 7%+’ers can you toss down without a meal?
Sweet beer bar with a nice selection of bottles and taps, no food, with a small fire in the middle. Plenty of expensive but super good beer nights here. I don’t know what else to say, but it’s a great place for a beer geek. No smoking, small, quiet, nerdy. I like!
Almost twenty beers on a rotating tap. They have a lot of German beer on tap. You can always find something new or hard to find here In addition, they have at least 100 bottled beers. Intimate atmosphere and low key. This place is a must for anyone wanting to check out a fantastic beer bar.

Update 8/20/08 - it’s official, Uber is my favorite place in the world to get a beer. Thanks guys. Update - Visited again on 3/20/08. Great crowd, and ordered off the book of menus this time. The lineup was sick this time, really rare stuff. Just an incredible vibe all around, and the service was even better this time around. Thanks to the folks behind Uber for putting together such an incredible bar. Visited on 8/13/07, met after4ever for a few. This place is very simple - taps, bottles and just enough place to drink them. The tap and bottle selection was well represented by their web site when I was there. Bartender was very helpful in helping me choose the first beer. This is a great beer geek bar.
100 = ★★★★★ (A very special beer place)
I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Great bar, fantastic tap lineup and pretty decent bottle selection. I love that they’ll fill up a mason jar to go. No lame pool tables or dartboards, just beer, beer, and beer.
Bigger is not always better, but better beer is ALWAYS better. A little hole in the wall place on highway 99 just north of Greenlake ; if you blink you’ll drive right past it. Pretty small inside here, but with an incredible beer menu which should satisfy any beer geeks desires. Best time to find a seat here seems to be late afternoon shortly after they open. Lots of top notch craft brews and Belgians on tap and in bottles. A great place to strike up a beer conversation with fellow beer geeks.
In late May they were pouring Deschutes The Abyss and Midnight Sun’s Envy among others. Prices are reasonable considering the quality.
Just do the Uber!! Excellent.
I wasn’t terribly impressed by this place, it had been talked up here and amongst locals but I think its somewhat a visual mirage. The beer selection was definitely better than most places but the ambiance is contrived: the modern neon beer lights, the huge fridge dominating the wall behind the bar, and that stupid natural gas hearth with glass crystals (not to mention the morons extinguishing the burner and re-lighting it to a ‘whooof’ and odor of sulfur gas). I truly adore the skeleton beer label paintings on the wall – very nice touch; but the place doesn’t meld. A couple of the beers on tap had a diacetyl flavour which is a no-no. I’ll definitely be back as I suspect I wasn’t there when the tap list was at its best. This place has most of the markings for beer mecca but a couple of main things still hold it back.
Small, but welcoming. The selection of beers is top notch. The taps are constantly rotating rarities.The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I love this place. This is one of the reasons why I wish I didn’t move from Northern Seattle.
