Visiting Chicago and staying in the Logan Square area, I found Vas Foremost to live up to expectations. Has a huge selection of craft beer and tons of local Chicago options like Pipeworks, Half Acre, Finches, etc. I ended up walking back to the apartment with a huge box of bombers!

2010: Huge expansion, 6-8 more cooler doors of craft bombers and imports. Best selection in a 2 mile radius.
This is the best beer spot in Logan Square. The majority of the beer is in the coolers, check out the 2 doors of bombers and 750s on the end corner. Its a diamond in the rough, but the beer buyer is doing a great job here. Seasonals, good range of Belgians, plenty of micro bombers. Lots of cooler space devoted to imports. Small selection of glassware, and generally someone around to help out.
Liquor store located really close to the Revolution brewpub in Chicago. Selection is large with quite a bit of harder to find beers which may have collected some dusts. Staff was really helpful trying to help us find specific beers and looking for cold beers. Prices are fair. Located close to the train which make it an easy place to get to.
Spacious liquor store with loads of liquor, beer wine and cider. The beer selection was pretty big, with almost everything refrigerated. A few beers each of most well know craft brewers and lots of local stuff. I haven’t been to many US stores, but I thought the selection was pretty great. Prices were a bit hit or miss, but seemed decent. Only downside was that their card reader had a problem with my card and that many beers were only available in 4 packs. Good store overall.
Just about across the street from Revolution, so it’s an easy stop if you’re headed there. Looks kind of like a typical crappy liquor store from the outside, but inside they have a massive beer selection. Lots of six packs and singles from local and regional breweries Half Acre, Revolution, Goose, Pipeworks, Three Floyds...etc. More sixers than singles (mostly large format bottles for that). They also had a decent selection of imports and out of the area beers...saw a number of the Eclipse variants, for instance.
Only real complaint here is that maybe the prices were a bit on the high side. But convenient location near Revolution and good selection.
Not the biggest selection in Chicago, but if you live in the area they carry a fair number of good beers and other spirits. The prices are fair and they have a good 30 linear feet worth of cooler space dedicated to beer. Probably the best place in the Logan Square area.
i never would have guessed the selection contained inside this store existed. one of the north sides better spots, huge selection of american craft as well as belgians and germans. prices are not the greatest but thats to be expected. found some haand bryggeriet! after i saw about 50% of the coolers i was satisfied, i had no idea they continued aroudn teh corner with more in store. definately worth a stop if in the area, and if you found yourself stuck in the area and in need of a drink, you will find plenty here to keep you happy.
Liquor store across the street and down a bit from Revolution. I admit that I parked in their lot for my time there and at the Brewpub. As noted, doesnt look like much from the outside, but they really do have a lot of space devoted to beer inside. This is s quality bottle shop, but it has a hard time competing in price or selection with Binny’s
A liquor store with an above average selection. Place is a bit run down and has a liquor store feel to the place. Service is fine but not particularly beer oriented. Selection is surprisingly good. Prices seem pretty good overall. A solid Chicago store.
