Hah, I was in half a mind to add the two bigger Victa stores even before, but hey, why not add them. and since my colleague here didn't bother to write anything about what this is and why it's on the site, guess I gotta elaborate.
Victa is a pretty ordinary local grocery store / supermarket chain based in Split with, apparently 9 stores around, two of which - this one and the one near the Firule hospital - seem to be the biggest / best stocked from my experience. They have, however, a far more elaborate beer selection than any other supermarket chain in town, local or national - a solid range of macro stuff complemented by, when I last checked, a bunch of English bottles imported through Vrutak and random craft and crafty stuff imported by Harats, along with a good selection of basic Croatian craft beers. Don't expect seasonals or rarities or even extreme styles, but this is, along with its easier-to-reach sibling the only place where you actually have something resembling a selection outside of the centermost center so very much useful. To Splti's shame. It's a generic grocery store, and don't expect anyone to know jack shit about beer. The service was mostly okay apart from one time when one of the cashiers intentionally acted dumb and tried to stupidly overcharge me with something, but hey, who knows if she even works there anymore. All in all, if you're a local anywhere near that part of town and you like craft beer it's not as if you have a better choice.
