This was my first time to The Village Draught House. Very interesting layout and feel inside. Jason’s right when he says there is a big sports bar aspect as there is. However, its mainly the tvs that account for this as the decor is mostly vintage movie pics/posters and some brick with a very unique ceiling design and a fireplace. Two separate dining rooms which is nice. Above average food, well priced. Extensive draught list that covers the bases well. Not too much from Belgium or other countries in general. Not a ton of specialty stuff but there were one or two things on there I hadn’t had before which was nice. I’d go back.

Been here many times, usually after a disc game with some buds. Definitely a heavy sports bar vibe in look and feel, as you’re practically surrounded by sports anchors speaking from screens. But whether or not that’s your mood upon visiting, the food has always been above average pub fare (burgers are pretty good) and they’ve got a nice selection of taps, with locals in particular very well represented.
Nice sports bar/restaurant in an upscale shopping center in Raleigh. Great selection of beers, both on draft and in bottle. Not too knowledgeable about them, but they still had a good selection nonetheless.
I stopped in here for lunch on the recommendation from a buddy of mine. The beer selection didn’t disappoint. They had many local NC brews on draft or in bottles and a pretty good selection of other stuff as well. Prices were reasonable and the food was okay. Nothing that would set the world on fire, but not terrible either. Not a bad place to stop when you are a bit parched.
A very nice sports bar and restaurant. The beer menu has been getting progressively better especially since their renovations. Not a lot of beer specials, but they usually select at least one nice microbrew. The food is very good for the price. The walls are covered with tvs which is nice especialy in football or basketball season. Never more than a 15 minute or so wait. My only complaint would be with the smoking section and a lack of circulation. It gets very smokey quickly and seems to stay that way despite the fans. The non-smoking section is fine. Outdoor seating is great when the weather agrees with you.
Great selection of beers on tap, especially North Carolina micro brews. The food is typical, just jazzed up sandwiches and hamburgers, although some are quite good. The bar side has a large selection of televisions tuned to whatever sporting events are on (although for some reason these HDTVs often aren’t tuned to HD programming) and the Hurricanes and State memorabilia on the walls give the place a sports bar feel. Some darts and arcade games for the bar crowd, but really more of a sit-down place. A good place to watch a game and have some local beers.
