Never managed to get myself here when it was the special selection store, but it still has a nice selection. Nothing special these days, but more than the average Vinmonopol in Oslo. Still a bit in the middle of nowhere for me and I wouldn’t say it’s worth going out of your way for unless you knew they had something the others don’t. (Selection is searchable at vinmonopolet.no.)

A bit off-center. Selection is nothing to brag about, it is far from the best Vinmonopolet in Oslo but it is not the worst one either (Rosenkrantz gate had the worst selection). I did buy a Brewdog Paradox Jutra that was sold-out at the Oslo Vinmonopolet Vika (largest selection in town) therefore this location may be worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood. Plus they gave us an nice Vinmonopolet bottle opener with cork screw, nice!.

Note that this shop no longer has an expanded range - this function is moved to their shop in Vikaterrassen, more centrally located.

Decent selection of beer, they often keep beers that the other Vinmonopolet stores doesn’t have.

One of two special ’Vinmonopol’ in Norway, or in Oslo. Located in the fine district of Frogner a short trip with the tram from the city centre. Anyway, this is supposed to be the best place, where you can find more rare stuff. But mostly wine and spirits. Pretty decent selection of beer, and seems to be growing.

Vinmonopolet is norwegian for Wine Monopoly so you’ll mostly find wine and spirits here, but they have a decent selection of beer as well. The staff is helpful, but for some weird reason it isn’t possible for one shop to provide beer from another Vinmonopolet outlet. This is why I gave them a lower service score. This is the only place you can get Haandbryggeriet Haandbakk for instance.
