The brewpub is situated a little bit off the tourist attractions, 25 minutes walk from the city center. They had three beers on tap which all were served little bit too cold. The atmosphere is nice, the interior okay. Service was very friendly and very fast. Recommended for the ticks.
Me, my dad & Barry visited here on Saturday 29th March 2014 about 15:30 ish. It was as dead as a dodo when we turned up only one couple in here and yet it was a large modern (inside modern & smart, quite an historic building otherwise) the service was swift we had Schwazbier and Hefeweizen both were fine without ever being really good or interesting. This brewhouse is a short walk from Barbarrosa Platz and its tram stops UBahn and is on a corner plot of a multi road choice ’quieter’ road junction. We sat here for a while underneath a huge projector screen displaying a live Bundesliga game to absolutely no one as we were certainly not interested. Like many places I would be interested to visit this place when it was busier but for now on our visit like the beer it was fine. Maybe we should have sat outside and drank beer in the sunshine and people watched, yes that is what we should have done.
Large place, looks sort of like an old dusty movie theater. Pretty empty when I visited in the middle of the afternoon, and I was the only one drinking beer. Again, to be visited on a complete Köln tour.

Fairly sizeable venue with at least 3 rooms, wood panels, fairly plain lined appearance.
The initial service was immediate and the beers came promptly but the service disintegrated a little thereafter, the place was pretty packed however.
Beers were all OK - no world beaters by any means but 3 available to break up the Kolsch domination.
We eat here and I had the Nurnberger bratwursts. No mustard on the table, asked for zenf and it came about 10 minutes later when I’d already slowly eaten all but one of my wursts! This pissed me off.
That aside - a decent enough place, good vibes, lots of 25/35 something good time drinkers.
ausser dem guten Essen, dass mittlerweile recht teuer ist, gibt es nicht viel positives mehr. Die Biere waren früher wirklich ein Hauptgrund ins Weiss zu gehen. Leider sind mittlerweile alle Biere viel zu mild und geschmacklos. Keine Empfehlung mehr :-(
First it was Weissbräu, then for a short time Freischem’s, now it is Weisbräu zu Köln. The brewmaster from Weisbräu is back as well. The food menu has some Bavarian influence. Besides Kölsch they also have Weizen and Schwarzbier. You can see quite a lot of the brewing kit behind glass.
