Store is a little out of the way and tricky to find. It is worth it though, best selection I have ever seen of many hard to find brews.
Talked to the staff for a little while and got some great info from them. Will stop by every time I am in the area.
Update -- I’ve placed a couple orders with them in the past and have wanted to place another but I can’t get them to reply to me. They do a great job of constantly updating the new arrivals page but good luck actually being able to order any of those, even if it says in stock. I tried searching for several different beers listed under "new arrivals" (and no, I wasn’t looking under "upcoming") to add to my cart and each time I do a search I cannot find the beer. Sometimes they get something restocked but don’t seem to update the availability through search so no dice adding those to your cart either. The search function as a whole is brutal and ultimately I give up. Their selection is incredible, or at least what they list is incredible, but who cares if I can’t actually order any of them? I’m sure it’s much better in person. Oh well. First order -- Online order. This is my first order from them and overall I’m pleased. There was one little glitch however, half the stuff I ordered on the website wasn’t really in stock. But they were helpful and patient when I was finding replacements. The website is pretty good, the search feature isn’t the best but overall I had no trouble navigating. The selection is very good. You’ve got the local heavyhitters like Three Floyds and Goose Island but also a good selection of imports. The box arrived quickly and the packing insane, this indeed was bomb proof. Shipping was a tad high but they don’t charge a packing/supplies fee so overall I’d say the cost to ship was very good. I’d order from them again.
You travel all the way from Denmark, and then your encounter such a wonderfull service! My, it was the hole trip worth just hanging out with those lovely goofy beergeeks that inhabits the world of WLL.
a lot of great local craft beer in a small amount of space. as an out-of-state beer lover looking for a trunk load of area beer that i can’t get where i live, this place was perfect. their selection far surpassed my cash supply.

Great selection and a very knowledgeable staff. This is THE place to buy Mikkeller. The gentleman working there was very helpful as well. Also, if there is ever a special event here, try to make it. Kristina goes all out every time.

Nice, small shop. Great selection and knowledgeable staff. don’t walk into this store if you want to keep your $60+ in your pocket.

Not huge, but the selection is absolutely outstanding and Kristin and her employees know their stuff. This is the place that I was going to when I first got seriously into beer. Some prices seem better than others, but nothing is priced unfairly. They make great use of the somewhat small space, with an overwhelming amount of stuff you won’t find elsewhere in Chicago or elsewhere. They’ve always got new stuff coming in, and I could spend a dangerous amount of money here on any given trip. WLL has the best Mikkeller selection I’ve ever seen (along with Wine and Cheese Place), for instance. I look forward to making future trips here, as every time I walk in, I’m blown away by what great use it makes of the space.
Great place, tremendous selection and they know their beer in there. Always have great conversations with their employees, they are very knowledgeable. A bit pricey, but stuff you just can’t get anywhere else. I’ll keep coming back!
