Best Whole Foods in NYC for beer. Separate place for beer detached from the store! There are growler fills! Shelves of crazy things like Goose Island Juliet, Cantillon, Struise, olders Stone beers, Cigar City (what!?) and loads of crazy Italian stuff. Very nice.

A supermarket with a good beer section. Quite a lot of American and international beers, decent prices but most beers can be found cheaper at NBD. Very good opening hours. Worth visiting.

Thought I had rated this place before, but apparently not. Very nice selection of bottles and a few growlers. Staff here are happy and helpful, which seems to be a running theme with Whole Foods, but on top of that, the beer staff actually does seem to be fairly knowledgeable. However, the best two things about this Whole Foods don’t have to do with the great amount of beer here. Great thing number one: Only a couple of blocks from New Beer Distributors. Great thing number two: Really nice space upstairs that you can hang out and just be a bum, which is often being done by a large amount of people, but it’s still nice and fairly tranquil. Though last time there was definitely a homeless guy sitting at the table behind us eating 6 whole lemons.

Nice bright dedicated beer room. Back wall is lined by a cold case stocking about 100 bottles or so... most aren’t rare, but they are well-chosen. There is a small cheese selection at the front of the shop. The main event is the growler filling station in the middle... I think there are 6-7 taps with a well chosen and well priced (under 10 bucks) selection. A worthy addition to the area.

Bottle shop and food market around the bock from New Beer Distributors. I found that most of the beers here were also available at New Beer, where they were slightly less expensive. They did have a few beers that had sold out at New Beer that I picked up. Worth visiting if you are in the area, but not really a destination place for me.

Took me some time before I’ve managed to find it. Turns out it’s a beer shop inside a store, behind the cash registers. Impressive selection, it looked to me like more than 200 bottles, at least 500. Service was good, prices also. My only concern would be too much light in the store. But overall it’s a great place to buy beer.

Excellent beer store, within easy reach when going through central Manhattan. Superb selection of well chosen beers and breweries, from imports to locals. Prices are a bit steep, but that is to be expected from a Whole Foods on the island. But the selection is so impressive, it’s hard to complain.

I’m shocked I’ve never rated this place, I’ve probably purchased beer here a good 20-25 times over the last couple of years. Anyway, this place is great. A really nice selection of beer. Growler fill stations. Free tastings. Sure, the prices are mediocre at best, but since I’m usually walking back with whatever I buy I don’t lose an arm and a leg here... I wish they had more choices for singles in the 12 oz size, as the choices there are pretty limited. Overall though, the beer room makes for a really solid beer store.

Large coolers of single bottles and six-packs. Solid international selection but seemed to focus on US micros. Fairly clearly organized with local breweries well marked. Had a larger cider selection than I’m used to seeing, so that was nice. HAd sme interesting growler offerings when I was there, unfortunately I had to pass on them due to my traveling. They didn’t seem to have to many rarities, just a solid lineup of quality micros. Very nice.

Visited May 2015. Decent beer department, which offered a wide range of beers, including a few shelves of 12oz singles. The selection wasn’t that unusual but the prices were pretty reasonable. Service was fine. Worth a look.

Amazing beer selection at this whole foods. 6 or so growler stations to go. Small beer selection inside the main part of the store, but a whole alcove passed the express registers. Amazing selection, well laid out. You can spend quite a bit of money here. An essential stop as far as bottle shops are concerned. Plenty of homebrewing supplies and equipment as well. A very good selection of homebrewing books. Beers seemed a bit on the pricier side of things. A decent amount of cider too. I knocked off quite a few wants list items here.
