I walk to this Whole Foods all the time. SOmetimes they have beers like Pliny The Elder just sitting there for the taking. They always have a bunch of ggood to great beers and sometimes have outstanding beers. Solid and reliable.

Glendale... Such a faux-poetic sounding, pastoral name. A soft velar sound, followed by a nasal, a soft stop, and a liquid. Perhaps there was once a glen or a dale here, where concrete and glass are now the eye can see. Anyway. This place has a pretty fair selection, ranging from mass-market junk all the way to Firestone Walker Barrelworks limited bottles. Lots of SoCal craft stuff. A smattering of Midwest and East Coast heavy hitters, such as Boulevard, Founders, Dogfish Head, Ommegang, and Allagash (but these are mostly their regular brews). A few from Japan and very few from Europe. Not really as complete or interesting as other Whole Foods stores around (such as, say, the El Segundo location). Friendly staff. The guy stocking the shelves answered a few selections and let me know that they allow singles to be taken out from six packs.

Whole Foods Glendale is the best beer store in Glendale. Big woop. They do have an amazing selection that can be as exciting as it is perplexing. Some days you can get PlinyThe Elder and the next day you can’t find anything interesting at all. I shop there anyway and always make sure to have an extra bag because I usually nab a grip of fun stuff.

Quite an above average selection for a Whole Foods. Quite a few things that I don’t see at a lot of other places. Ratebeer shelf tags are widely used. Selection includes quite a few sours, lambics and local beers. Very impressed overall. The rest of the store is a typical Whole Foods scene. Good parking lot. This Whole Foods and Red Carpet are your best two stops in Glendale.
