I went to Tampa to get some of the new Cigar City beer in a bottle, only available at Whole Foods. I found a great beer department, and the beer guy (Chris) was very knowledgable about beer styles, recommendations, etc. I bought what I came for, but I also found another 10 or 12 bottles that I just had to have too - that I had not found anywhere else. The beer is well cared for, nicely displayed, and there is a good variety of the standard beers, as well as quite a few specialty beers. Highly recommend - and also they have a great artisan cheese department!

I worked downtown and had no clue that this place would have this great of a beer selection until the CCB beers were released here. There is a great beer section tucked away in the back corner and a revolving rack in the back as well with a bunch of great 750s. I never thought I would see Rochefort 6 in a grocery store! All around an excellent selection of good beers and some rare beers to boot. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. DEFINITELY check this place out. They do it right.
Great place right next to the CCB tap room. Of course plenty of Cigar City, Terrapin, Jolly Pumpkin, etc.... The place is a little hard to get into, but is worth a stop. Prices are a bit cheaper than elsewhere. Whenever I’m in Tampa this is a required stop.

Whole Foods Market in Tampa has a serviceable selection of craft beers, considering that it’s not a typical beer store. I was able to find a good amount of beers we don’t have here in Fort Myers, including several Cigar City brews (from the brewery which is just around the corner) and Ballast Point Sculpin IPA which is not yet distributed here. If you’re in the Tampa area, I would suggest a quick visit to Whole Foods Market. The prices are not too bad and the selection is good for a grocery store.
Visited while in Tampa recently specifically to find an ice cider, which they had!
Nicely lit, clean, and nice place. Lots of organic foods, blah blah, lots of hippies and rich people around, but regardless a nice place.
Was offered help in both the beer and the wine sections, and both employees knew exactly what I was looking for and were able to offer information. Nice!
A pretty solid beer selection, honestly. I don’t know much about Tampa, but they had stuff there we certainly don’t have in Tally... not that that’s saying much.
Had a few samples and they were delish, and the groceries seem pretty solid...
$22 for a 375 of ice cider... average prices, I’d say. Fair, but no deals for sure.
Stop by if you’re in the area for sure. It’s right by CCB, so you’re likely to be by there anyway, right?!
It’s kind of difficult to rate this place against other beer stores as this is a grocery store. The beer selection here is FAR better than any grocery store I have ever been to, I mean 5 different Jolly Pumpkins and Brooklyn Black Chocolate stout, I haven’t seen those in most of the bottle shops I’ve been to. In fact, I saw several beers there that I have never seen anywhere else in Tampa. As for food, it’s a natural and organic grocery so pretty much what you’d expect excellent quality and very expensive. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Defininitely reccomend this place, I will return many times.
Visited today to check out what Chris has been doing since I heard he was bringing in some good beer. Pleasantly surprised with the selection and not angry with the prices. Chris is very knowledgeable and loves beer. He had some nice gems like Ten Fidy, Rochefort and J.W. Lees Harvest. He told me that he is expanding even more and is bringing in some rares that I cant wait for. Go check it out you never know what he might have on the shelves.
