A brew pub in the suburbs though only 10 mins in the subway and a 10 mins walk from Feuerbach station. Disappointing choice of a very bland unfiltered Pils and an average hefeweiss. Food ok. Children friendly, too many for my liking! Has a beer garden outside but was raining on my visit.
Visited 02/2014 GC Tour de Ländle. Tucked away on the mainfare of industrial, well-to-do suburbian Feuerbach, next to an OBI. The reason why I missed this at the time I still passed by once a week. Ambiance is surprisingly genuine for a converted warehouse brewery/brewpub, complete with mid-center copper kettles, (alas: plastic) hop boughs and extending over two easy-filling storeys. Very decent naturtrübes SW Pilsner and Weizen, no seasonals at all between Winter and Fasching. Food seemed copious and more than decent for the region, service is mostly students with not too much of an interest in the particularities of the setting. As mentioned: Ridiculous "Pfand"/consignment fees both 50cl bottles and growlers, making this a drink-at-the-source-only stop.
Visited July 2010 Modern brewpub, with nothing special about the decoration apart from the wooden beams on the ceiling and the copper tanks in the middle of the room. The service is friendly. They have 3 beers, all correctly brewed, even if not daring, and all on the sweet side; by the way, so far the best beers during my 3-days around the Schwarzwald. The menu says: common pub grub.
Small brewpub in between lots of business stores in the middle of Feuerbach in Stuttgart. From outside it doesn’t even look like one; I thought first that it is a flowers shop or hairdressers. Well anyway, it was very nice and comfy inside: Dark wooded furniture, big polished beer tanks etc. They even have got a childrens corner with a table, chairs, books and toys. There are four well-cleaned high chairs available and in the ladies’ you get the chance to change your baby/infant. Beer selection is rather low: At the end of April only Pils and Hefeweizen were available. Food selection was good and it tasted excellent for quite good prices. Staff was very friendly and you can also buy their beer in 0,5 l swing-top bottles for only 1,70€ each, but unfortunately there is a bottle deposit of 2,50€. Altogether it is a nice brewpub and I enjoyed the visit, but I just missed that certain "old-style" atmosphere, it just wasn’t that comfy like others.
