Awesome setup for the tap room right in front of the barrel room. Great selection of their own stuff which is the only reason I went. Super-friendly staff willing to talk about beer. Prices were reasonable. Got a flight towards the end of my stay, but should have started out with it. Will definitely go back.
A wicked place and one of the absolute top spots in Asheville, if not all of NC. Large place, with lots of bar seats, lots of other seating and separate rooms with different purposes - like an area where live bands often play, and a bottle shop area open as long as the rest of the place. They had 16 BA sours on tap, plus small pours of a bunch of bottles as well. Pre-selected flights of various kinds of 4 beers for $10, very reasonable for what you're getting. Bartenders are very friendly, despite how busy and stressed they must've been on the Saturday night we visited. Killer place - mandatory visit when in Asheville.
Visited at the end of a long day. Medium sized place full of barrels in the back. Tap listbwas doninated by their sours, which is why you go here, right? Maybe 3-4 non sours. An accommodating staff that let you try stuff. I will say that I was perplexed to see flights after the main WW wouldn’t do them after a certain time. So, at least ask for a flight if you want. Nice ambiance. Would recommend going.
This place was very enjoyable, but had a few snags. The place was mildly busy on a Tuesday night, and despite standing at the bar right in front of several staff taking orders, they didn’t even acknowledge me. Had several pours of Happy Blending and some very nice sours and stouts, and aside from some shaky service had a good time. Servers could talk beer, sours, and everything was in the right glasses. Too bad about the sale, otherwise, I would go back every time I was in town.
A nice spot focusing on Wicked Weed’s sour line. The atmosphere is nice, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Service is usually good, although there was a douche behind the bar a couple of days ago. The selection rocks (assuming you like sours), with plenty of draft and bottle offerings. 3-4 non-sours are usually on draft as well. No full menu, but they do offer munchies. And there’s a retail store inside with merchandise and bottles available to go. A must-stop for Sourheads.
