Great selection of exotic meat sausages, e.g., duck, alligator, rabbit and rattlesnake. Nice selection of German and Belgian beers. Wonderful Belgian fries with housemade dipping sauces. Overall, a great place to session some brews and grab a bite to eat. They could turn down the music however, as it’s difficult to hear inside.

Finally got to stop in and eat some wurst and drink a Deutches bier. The problem is that one sausage (no sides) and one beer (Weihenstephaner Dunkel Weizen) were $14 before tip. Ugh. German food is supposed to be cheap bulk food, not $8 for a sausage. The setup is interesting, due mostly to the shape of the building (it’s on a corner and the building is in a wedge shape) but you order in the front room and then take your number and find a place to sit in the back room. It’s a dining room and a bar. The servers are all nice and the beer list is pretty good. They have a lot of German beers but they also have plenty of other stuff as well. I counted at least a dozen Blegian beers like Chimay, La Trappe, and St Bernardus. They have two American beers on as well (Old Rasputin, and PBR...).
Parking sucks in this area. I paid $8 to park in a lot for work and walked a mile here but yeah, that’s the cheapest you’ll find for a lot. Street parking is tough. Service is good, selection is good, and the food is good. The prices are awful though.
Maybe just a block down the street from Angel City. This place where you order is tiny. The interior is really only big enough for a handful or two of people to be inside at once, so you will be waiting outside for the most part. But it’s better once you get inside (plenty of space). The food is good, but it’s kind of expensive overall (mostly the beer).
Cool place for Belgians. As someone jaded I’m not too impressed by Belgian-heavy bars, since they all tend to be the more common (not to say that they aren’t fantastic) beers. Kinda disappointing that they don’t even make the one thing they do, sausage, in house. Still a fun hang.
German beer isn’t my favorite but I’m into the sausages and fries at Wurst... howeverthehellyousayit.
The beer list is solid and doesn’t change but it doesn’t have any wow beers on it.

Hideaway tucked in the artist district in downtown. Good selection of Belgian & German beers to go with there wide variety of sausages. I understand that they have to keep up with the theme of the food but I wish they could throw in a few more North American choices. They do have Allagash and some Old Rasputin but few more would be appreciated. I did enjoy a La Trappe on my last visit.
This is a great place for a beer and a sausage. Great sausage selection and the fries are about as good as fries can get.
Staff is nice and courteous, but the sausage nazi mentality where you line up in a little room and then move in a single file to order is a little much. The beer selection is very solid if you like German and Belgian beer but don’t expect anything else and don’t expect any variety over time. The list doesn’t change.
By the looks of how well they do, it doesn’t seem to bother the patrons - -the place is always mobbed.
66 seems a little harsh, but i can’t give more than 4 for ambiance or service. The selection is solid but not very exciting. Food is very good but it’s pricey for what you get.

So my gf and I walked from downtown to the outskirts of downtown through some shady areas to find this ridiculously overpriced hip sausage bar. Yes, the decor is pretty and hip or whatever, and yes, the sausages were good. I got a rattlesnake and something sausage as well as a knockwurst and was set back $16. Sarah and I had 3 beers each, and nothing fancy--she did get 200mL of Houblon for $9, though. Total tab for the beer was over fifty bucks, and then I had to tip. Weird trendy electro music played the duration. 24 taps, with the exception of 3 US Belgian styled beers, everything was either Belgian or German. I won’t be coming back because this place is way too expensive, especially being in a shady area. The bartender did seem to know his shit, but paid more attention to the suits than us in our beer shirts and jeans. We were there for a few hours from around 3-6:30 on a Monday, so there were definite ebbs and flows, though never got packed. OK overall, I guess.
