On the corner of Holborn and Grays Inn Road facing the traffic lights at this junction. This is a traditional pub that’s been given a slightly more modern makeover on the inside, but still retains a decent ambiance and appearance. The bar against the back wall is opposite its corner entrance and includes a small mix of craft cask and craft keg backed up with a few bottles of note. There’s a few picnic tables outside but there’s a constant flow of cars next to you waiting for the traffic lights to change.

Would suggest the place has moved on a lot since it’s only other review on this site. Offers a small but varied selection of taps, with the two cask ales being from small brewers, not mainstream, and very well kept. Have a small but noteworthy selection of craft bottles and cans from UK and US. Might not be the areas number one but worth a visit if in the area (it’s very close to BottleDog).

A rather unimpressive free house. Has somewhat extortionate prices on its beers, given their commonness. Three casks, mostly uninteresting. Although, I did find Brakspear Bitter on cask, which I hadn’t had before and which was actually pretty decent; it was in good condition. There are much better options in the area so I would opt for those.
