Beautiful cellar, dark wood everywhere. Knowledgeable, friendly and polite staff. Beer selection great - the 20 active taps provided 17 ticks. Food, cooked by Gandalf, looked great, but we didn’t eat there. Definitely worth a visit, a world-class venue, and the bottle shop next door makes this part of town a must.
I was here early, said opening hours was 11:00 on rate beer but did open at 14:00 so had to make a detour. Well came back and the downstairs pub opened at 14:00, about 15 taps and a lot of bottles down there, tap at great prices, between 25-50 krona. The bottles are more expensive of course as most of them ate imported. Ate some food, mix of pub food and traditional food, also at a fair price. The bar man didn’t speak much English but could still pour the pints with a smile. Went though 10 beers downstairs and then at 17:00 the upstairs bar opened with several more to choose from. Well I’m a happy camper! Free Wi-Fi but it only worked downstairs for me. Also cash only it seems.

Finally, this is the legendary beer temple of Prague. A rustic place with wooden interieur where each scratch on the table probably has a story to tell. We had no problem at all to find a table at 9pm on a Saturday. Unfortunately, the cellar level was closed when we were there, so we "only" had the taps of the other two levels and no bottles to choose from. I’ve seen their online list though, on which the selection score is based. Without the cellar, I would have given 11-12 for selection. They have many good Czech beers on tap, and also had an international guest (Magic Rock) when we were there. Service was quick. Don’t miss this!
Lokalizacja 35 minut spacerkiem z dworca głównego. Można podjechać tramwajem.
Ogromny, trzypoziomowy pub.
Jeden z 3 najlepszych pubów z kraftowym piwem w Pradze.
We went straight down to cellar level. They had some 20+ taps there. Mainly local. Staff was quite helpful and patient with us. Beers (beside 2 or 3) were fresh. They don’t do beer selection so it’s a bit annoying. But no one was allowed to smoke inside which is big plus. Worth to visit.
This place is much overrated on Ratebeer. I stayed near there for 5 nights and each night I tried my luck there. Service is erratic / one young waitress totally out of place, one thin guy rude and incompetent, two guys both fat and bearded very nice. The main drawback is that all the tables seem to be booked on all 3 levels almost all the time. You have to beg the service to let you sit somewhere or join a table for six where only 2 people are sitting and they may grudgingly let you join them. It is so different in true Czekh hospodas on the outskirts.
Selection is good but not outstanding. Food is typical Czekh fare. The closing times are not really observed - usually they close an hour before they advertise on Facebook. And they, of course, do not care. Why should THEY when all other Czekhs do not give a damn about others than themselves?
