Great place to experience Alt. The family followed me to get afew beers, and we all grabbed a quick snack. Great ambiance - the Köbes (excuse the Köln/ Düsseldorf misnomer!) rolled a new keg anf hoisted it up on the bar while we were there - Awesome!
was lucky enough to be there with ruffian on sticke day. Atmosphere is trully awesome! There must have over 1000 people in the pub and on the street. Incredibly easy downing huge amount of beer in no time, it resulted in a headache when I woke up. THE place in Dusseldorf
Swietne miejsce, klimat i atmosfera. Sporo pomieszczen, szybka i mila obsluga. Sporo zadowolonych ludzi. Jedzenie dobre, tradycyjne i smaczne. Piwo wiadomo klasyczne.
Fantastic place with lots of different small rooms that makes it cosy. Old wooden benches with dark brown interiour. Played even "ompa ompa" music wich was great. Ordered ground meet, ok snack with the beer. Best bar i’ve been in for a long time.....
This is one of my favorite bars in northern Germany, along with some of the classic kolsch bars in Koln. Uerige has kobes with great personalities, walking around and hawking delicious snacks every 15-20 minutes or so. The alt is very similar to a British ESB and the hefeweizen is definitely more subtle than the Bavarian original, but still very drinkable. This place is definitely worth a visit during karneval season. I would have liked to have rated it higher, but I couldn’t due to the selection limited to their own beers.
My favorit brew pub in D’dorf. The beer hall in the middle of the building is outstanding, food very typical for the region and I like the taste of the fresh beer. Shame they do not serve the Stickie beer they export to the US.
Had unfortunately some issues with this brewpub because I wanted to buy some special bottles and got send from one place to another ( from the normal brewpub to the underground area of Carsch House, from the Carsch House back to the brewpub and from the brewpub to their special room, the Stickum ) and when we have been finally at the Stickum ( opening times Fri / Sat: 2 pm) they told us, that they don’t sell bottles at all for taking away. Well, little bit stupid and confusing altogether, but at least they all were friendly. We didn’t want to take a drink at the normal brewpub because we didn’t feel welcomed at all (one waiter told us at the door that there’s no food except some sandwiches available at 11.30 am (!) and wouldn’t even want us to be inside at all). After some nos and yes’ we decided to go to the Stickum, which is just beneath the old brewpub rooms and we were really happy and feeling good there. The two waiters were really friendly and nice, and had a nice knowledge and told us -unasked- about the history of Doppelsticke and about the breweries rooms. The beers (Doppelsticke / Sticke) were just awesome and we are gonna try their own beer whiskey next time. Would go to the Stickum anytime again - but not to the normal brewpub rooms.
