No longer a Wetherspoons, but still looks like one and is run like one; if a little brighter in decor and lighting. Enough staff too. CAMRA discount and cheap food make this a popular bar, 8 hand-pulls and the usual suspects on the lager/stout kegs pumps. Relaxed and fairly quiet on our visit Thursday 8th Sep 2016 (just like Wetherspoons, they had a special Curry Night menu, which we had).

Visited several times when it was a Wetherspoon, my review covers that period only. There’s two rows of ale pumps to choose from on the bar as you enter this pub servicing the south shore area of Blackpool. It’s slightly inland after the first set of bed and breakfasts that frequent the area on the first main road away from the seafront, and close to Blackpool Football Club so expect it to be busy on match day. This place gets both locals and of course a fair amount of tourists in season. All the seating and furnishing is in its traditional wood appearance of this chain and there’s a few sofa to sit on too.
