came here with the fam to wrap up our little Tampa weekend get away. Sunday night it was pretty dead. Had the feel of a chain resturuant that was struggling. I bet it gets busy but it sure did not feel like it was a robust buisness. tap list was fair, half was regular stuff the other half was exclusives to the pub. I had two which were okay. The food was good, shared the grouper bites with my wife and had a burger. food was probablly the highlight.
Visited on 8/15/16.
Located about 10 miles north from the brewery, the place had the feel of an Applebees or Chilis...but with a pilot batch system in the very front of the building. The food was decent as I had Grouper Bites and a burger. Selection was interesting because they had 4 beers that were pilot batch beers but not exactly ’summer’ selections as they had a porter, imperial red, imperial brown and imperial scotch ale...a little heavier for this time of year. Food was decent, server was friendly and place was kid friendly...a nice stop but if you have a choice between the brewpub and the brewery....the brewery for sure.
Unlike the Cigar City Brewery, this felt like any other brewpub. We had a pleasant waiter and I admit it was nice eating outside in January. Lots of the Cigar City beers available, including many brewpub only beers. The menu was wide and varied and my meal was very nice, although I don’t think yucca will replace potatoes for me anytime soon. Worth a stop but not really much of a destination.
Nice location way up North Tampa. I was just expecting a bit more of the Cuban-Florida flair especially since that’s what CCB prides itself upon. Regardless, the overall atmosphere is nice. Place was extremely quiet during the whole 3 hours I was there.
Food was nice, spicy Yuca good, not a real fan of what seemed to be spicy wing sauce that they use. Oyster Po’Boy was outstanding. Only pet peeve in the menu pertains to the local Tampa offerings such as empanadas and Cuban sandwich that are priced way higher than what these Tampa staple street foods go for. All the beers are solid and offer enough variety to please all palates.
Very friendly service at the bar.
Went on a slow lunch hour on 16 March 2015. The sandwich I had was very good and my friends enjoyed their food as well. The bartender was talkative (mainly because he only had three other people to wait on) The beers were kind of average with one standout. They do have exclusive beers brewed here that the main brewery does not offer which is the main reason we stopped in. Also lots of flat screens hanging around so it is a spot to catch a sporting event if in the area. I would return here.
Suburban strip mall parking lot location in a standalone polished building. Central bar area surrounded by inside seating with a small outdoor patio area for the cigar smokers. Televisions everywhere. Good mix of beer on tap but I found the Belgo-French styles lacking, but thankfully they were pouring a robust porter from cask, which was in superb shape. Interesting and varied food menu though prices are high. Service was typical Florida standoffish ambivalence.
Up scale brewpub place. 4 flight sampler available. Food high priced brewpub chow. Server was good but failed to notice I had made a selection that was out of stock. Pulled a choice out of my hat that was something I had already had. Selection was good and beer quality was first rate. High end and classy.
Visited during RBWG 2015. I loved this place. Yes, the beer is great, the selection quite good. But above that, I had one of the best burgers of my life here. If you like burgers and you visit this place, get the burger. The service was good, the ambiance clean-cut but still fairly low key. Definitely worth a visit.
