Spent some hours here several years ago, outdoors in the patio, which is stunningly enjoyable and pretty, but very crowded at times. Thanks to a friend who worked there once, I got interested in their beer selection - seems that over a decade ago, they had a ’treasure’ cellar of specialty beers in big bottles. Nowadays the selection is not too extended so I guess this does not really deserve to be called a true beer bar, but if you’re in the neighborhood, I do recommend popping in for a Boon lambic or something alike. Food is original: their sandwiches were named after classical composers... Nice place, in all, with good and efficient service.
We enjoyed a nice Belgian meal here as we ducked in out of the cold winter wind. The warm food paired very well with our big, malty ales. The upstairs boasts a comfortable lounge while the main level is all business - food and beer. Our service was pretty good and we left with happy food and beer thoughts. This is a good meal spot when in town and is away from the tourist areas.
Visited on july 30. Sat outside in the courtyard surrounded by the beautiful building. For a restaurant they have a good selection of beers at fair prices, nothing that stood out though. Food was very good and service was friendly and quick.
Very beautiful building, nice patio to sit on a sunny day. Good beer list with the classic beers but also some harder to find Belgian micro brews. Friendly staff, quick service. Prices are decent. Worth a visit!
