Small brown cafe of Liedseplein which was fairly lively when I visited on a Thursday evening without being busy. Pretty much entirely foreign crowd which isn?t surprising for the area. Beer selection is actually pretty decent, while I didn?t find any ticks on tap the bottle selection had some interesting international stuff on offer on top of the normal Belgian and Dutch stuff. Prices are normal Amsterdam standard and service was friendly enough. A decent enough bar that i?ll certainly return to.
Don’t listen to tourists that claim this bar is "out of the way": it’s one block from Leidseplein, the most frequently visited square for tourists in all of Amsterdam. Legit local style café with a decidedly Benelux beer list.

Wonderful small place just outside the hustle and bustle of busy and commercial Leidseplein and its adjoining streets filled with restaurants aimed primarily on tourists. De Spuyt however is a true gem for beerlovers. It’s a fairly small affair but their selection is great, mostly on Belgians but also more than a handful interesting Dutch micros. Definitely worth a visit when in or close to the area. For whiskylovers: it’s next to legendary whiskypub L&B.
Visited on Saturday night after closure of the BeerTemple. Cosy brown café yet very busy when we got there. More than decent selection of craft beers, a lot of them Belgian, and apart from that quite strong on the new Dutch ones; some Anglo-Saxon ones as well. Friendly and efficient service and pleasant atmosphere of mostly young people with a thing for craft beer. Satisfactory experience for sure.
Based on 3 visits. Small cosy place, friendly staff. Nice to visit when you’re in the neighbourhood. Decent selection on tap with 1 or 2 spectecular ones. Recently more interesting beers in bottles available. Prices are fair.
A small, crowded place with a decent selection of taps with quite a bit changing somewhat often? Three locals when I visited, all very recently changed in. Nice enough service, perhaps a bit pricey? Bottle selection is just regular stuff.
Small, cozy bar close to the Leidseplein area. Beautiful selection of Belgians and Dutch brews, which are sold at a more than fair rate. Crowd exist of many locals, students and some tourists. Nonetheless, it might get too crowded too fast, what is kind of a bummer. A nice crowd is okay to me, but if I have to a double backflip to enjoy a sip of my beer... Erm.. No. But on the less crowded days, this place is certainly reccomendable.
