This place is amazing. I walked in and was greeted with floor to ceiling beer. There is beer everywhere. You have to go down aisles sideways and god forbid you meet another shopper, one of you will have to back up in order to pass. That being said, to find something specific here could be difficult. There are bottles, here, there and everywhere. Little ability to find out freshness or new releases. I could see this place being an annoyance but for me I loved it.
This place is literally full of beer and probably have the biggest selection in the city.
They have beers you can’t find anywhere else but its because prices are so high there people go buy them elsewhere.
A lot of very old bottles with no exact bottling date and stored in very poor condition. (No AC) The only way to know the price of a bottle is to ask someone working there.
Visited several times. One of bottle shop that is among the pionneers in Québec. Small and overly packed. The owner is rather knowledgeable. Large selection of almost everything released in Québec... but you have to be careful because there’s some stuff that is long past his prime. Price are usually a bit high, but the main problem is that you don’t know the price before paying and you are always under the impression that you are paying way too much (not detailed receipt either). Overall, this one probably one of the best places a few years ago, but now I would rather go to La Duchesse d’Aiguillon when in Québec City, especially considering Dépanneur de la Rive is far from downtown.

Small store, filled up to the roof (sometimes, through it...) with beer. Very little place to maneuver, just hope nobody else is there when you step in. It probably has THE best selection in town. However, every time I’ve been there, I had to look around to find personnel, and prices more often than not, aren’t indicated anywhere. Lots of exclusive, limited edition beers.
This place is a bit of a legend in the Quebec beer world. Maybe one of the first convenience stores to convert almost entirely to having the most possible different Quebec beers in stock. They have ridiculous amounts of everything released, and receive beers from pretty much every brewery that does bottles. This being said, the place is quite messy and not very fun to shop in. It’s dirty, there is a lot of old beer on the shelves and it is difficult to know what is fresh. A few years ago, you could dig around a bit and find treasures, but that hasn’t happened to me in a while. There isn’t anything beer-related located close to this place, so you might just be better off shopping in Quebec City. It does have everything though.
This store is like an old, small mom and pop grocery store (which it was) that is completely filled to the brim with as much beer as you can fit in this country. The aisles are tight, but that’s okay because the beer selection is the best I may have ever seen in a bottle shop!! (This is relative to what is available in Canada.) Maxime served me some phenomenal beer two years in a row at this fine establishment when I came to visit on a field trip. The service from him and his friends was amazing. He explained how the 2 owners have just brought in the best selection of beer in the country making it impossible to spend less than $250 at this wonderful place.
