Several visits over the years. This place has been the source for both a number of sought after rarities, and a number of disappointments in the form of stale beers. Brewers - please date your bottles. The better stuff also started creeping up in price. The main attraction is location - despite the flaws it’s proximity to Dieu du Ciel makes it an easy spot to pop into and see what is on offer.

Shappy looking beer store located 150m down the street from Dieu du Ciel. Good selection of beers from Unibroue and Dieu du Ciel. Not a place I would take a detour to visit but if in the area or just waiting for Dieu du Ciel to open it might be worth the visit.

We found this place by accident when we walked around waiting for Dieu du Ciel to open. Pretty surprised to see it wasn’t listed here already. It looks like a shabby kiosk from outside, and it sort of is a bit shabby. But the beer selection was really nice, at least from a ticker point of view. Mostly focused on Quebecoise beers, a good deal of beers from Ontario and BC as well, and some European and US. Got friendly service, but the guy at work when we visited didn’t know much about the beers, and the owner were away, so we were pretty much left to ourself. Which is perfectly fine for me but perhaps not for everyone.

One of the best selections in town. Nothing fancy to look at as it’s basically a depanneur with a lot of bottles. Lots of bottles are cold. Credit cards not accepted.

Be careful with what you buy here. Some bottles can be okay, but some have been there for years and are not stored in ideal temperatures - the place was a steam bath when I went in. And they had a DdC brown ale for sale from 2008! Probably okay to buy bigger beers from here, but I’d advise against APAs/IPAs and the like.

2 sips away from ddc;so the owner might not know much about beer, put this is the best service i have received in any montreal beer store(any store) this summer. i like that most of the craft beers are NOT in the fridge.only negative is most of the 750 ml beers are on the ground floor...much bending to do.

I wandered past this store while exploring the Mile End to see what was available. Was happy to find a good range of Charlevoix beers. The owner was friendly but not craft beer oriented. Funny, there was a depanneur up the street that advertised Biere de Artisanale and I thought the prices were better there and the selection was about the same. But, if you’re wandering around the Mile End and want to tap into some Quebecois craft beer, this will certainly do.
