Visited for a later dinner on a Tuesday. This is really unique place, the first part of the store I saw was a Deli, Butcher Shop, Wine store type setup, though down the street seemed to be more beer oriented, so I entered at the far door. Even before entering, there is an open air high end walk up beer store. Pretty much every local I could imagine seemed to be stocked, as well as a really well chosen selection of domestics and imports. The guy running the beer store was great to talk too, super knowledgeable, and full of great recommendations. If I didn’t have a flight the next day, I would have bought a bunch of beer. Just next to the beer store is the entrance to the small bar area, with seating at the bar, and smaller tables along the window. 12 beers on draft, focused mostly on national craft, though all harder to find breweries and beers. Creative food menu, fun friendly service and a good local vibe. There is also a pretty patio out back. I really enjoyed my visit.

82 = ★★★½ (Solid place, near the top of the list for locals and visitors)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Ugh, thought for sure I’d rated this place. Wish I had at the time because it’s a cool setup. Generally speaking: walk-up bottleshop window on the right, bar/restaurant on the left. We didn’t have food, but did have a few drafts at the bar. Got a mix sampling of beer from the bottleshop - it was a little strange: you’d send them back for various bottles - but it allowed you to chat them up about what was new/good. Will have to add better details after next visit.

I haven’t spent any time in the larder side of things, so I’ll be sure to re-rate after doing so. First time I was here, I sat at the bar with a few other RBians and my wife. Taplist was small but high-quality with mostly localish offerings. The other time I’ve come here I grabbed some bottles from the outside, which I have to say is weird. I mean -- it’s hard to get a close look at the bottles; you don’t get to see the prices; as soon as somebody else walks up I feel like I’m holding up the line, and I’m a guy who likes to hem and haw while shopping. Regardless, bottle selection is solid (but it isn’t huge) and prices are fair. Anyway, this place gets a lot of love, so I’m probably missing something. I’ll be back, and you can expect an amended review if my impressions change.

Butcher, restaurant, deli, bar and bottle shop all rolled into one interesting package. Odd in the greatest of ways. Service at all sections was great and very focused on their specialty. Beer list is small but well curated and no flights, although they will split a glass among a couple of people and offer samples. Food was fantastic and prices were appropriate for what you get. A must stop.

Cool place in three sections. The walk-up bottle shop, with solid prices and a great selection. The restaurant side smelled great and the deli case looked amazing. I didn’t eat, but the menu sounded great. Local and seasonal. The bar section in the middle has 8 taps, all of interesting things, several of them rarities. Commenting on the staff that WAS NOT DrSilverworm... the other bartender was exceptionally friendly and helpful to other patrons. Chris proved to be an excellent host to a visiting Ratebeerian. Parking was easy but I was there early and it looked like it could get tough. Overall a very nice place. I’m strongly considering UC Law School and if I move here, this will be a regular stop.

Parking if you want to go to the bar is usually challenging due to the limited parking, if you are only buying bottles you can park right in front of the place. The bottle shop is a walk-up outside counter which looks like an old hotdog strand, but who cares. Empty bottles on display, so you know what they have in the back. All of the beer seems to be refrigerated. Brought a list and they had several bottles, plus they suggested some beers I was additional interested in. Selection Is limited, but some harder to get quality brews were available. They have eight beers on tap, and two blew while I was there. Only one guy at the bottle part and one guy at the bar, so a little thin on a Saturday afternoon, thus more time required. Service was pretty good. Prices are good. One of the bottles on display was actually unavailable. I will be back when in the area.

(Visited 02/2015 during Cincinnati Beer Week): Dutch’s is located on Erie Ave in East Hyde Park. Street parking is available in front of the building.

There is an outside walk-up carryout bottle shop to the right of the entrance, which is pretty cool. Inside opens to a bar that features a couple standing tables along the windows and a bar that runs nearly the length of the room. Maroon walls with nice lights, and a board at the end of the bar that lists what beers are on tap.

The beer selection consists of 8 draught beers. On my visit there were some specific to CBW like Cincy 3-Way Porter and other breweries like West Sixth and Mt Carmel. The bottled selection is pretty robust and numbers in the 100s.

Service on an early Saturday afternoon during a snowstorm was pretty good. The bartender was attentive and friendly.

I did not have any food on this visit.

Overall I liked this spot, it would be nice to come back during nicer weather and when I wasn’t on a timetable.

On the advice of b3shine I stopped by here for a sour tasting a few years ago. Ever since then it has been a go to destination if I have the time. Between the selection at the outdoor dock, the tap list, and the bottle selection at the bar it merits consideration near the top of the list for Cincinnati. If you don’t want to go across the river to Party Source then you should definitely hit up Dutch’s. Even if you do trek across the river there are several breweries not available on the Kentucky side.

As an added bonus you can get some great food. I have yet to eat here personally but the options behind the deli look mouthwatering. If you can time it to arrive at an offpeak hour then parking should not be an issue either with plenty of spots along a side street.
