Visited with the RBSG group. This was the location of the Grand Tasting, and they were very amenable to us. Pretty much gave us half of their seating, which was very nice of them, especially on a Saturday night. Pretty big warehouse type place. As a nice addition, they also had a coffee shop inside the tap room. It wasnít open while we were here, but they had a nitro coffee that was pretty good. If I was in the area again, I would want to check out the coffee shop. The beer they had on tap was pretty diverse. The major style groups were all well represented. Really fun location. I would recommend stopping in if you are in Pittsburgh.
The sign of a good brewery: I thought their Mild Ale was killer. Great variety of taps with an additional coffee bar setup and a nitro coffee on tap. Some outdoor seating and games like outdoor Jenga. Really nice, laid back vibe throughout. A top-level visit. One caveat: the bathroom door is freakishly light. My arm flailed all over the place opening and closing it.
A large warehouse like setting with high end coffee and one side and the beer on the others. Large tables and outdoor area. Staff were great and very knowledgeable. Beer was varied, they offered tasting flights and was decent. Only complaint is only 1 bathroom which when it gets busy could be problematic. Nice stop.
Iím all about people and the staff at this joint were second to none. The bar-tender who take care of our group all night was insanely polite, just accommodating and I never got a feeling of "this is just a job" sort of politeness. He was just an all around terrific guy. The brewer who stuck around most of the night answered every question with honestly, didnít hold anything back and he was probably the nicest brewer Iíve ever met. The space, spacious, lots of seating inside and outside, 18 different beers on tap, 4 barrel aged bottled beers for onsite or take-away, a working cafe in the place that I wish was open when we got there. some nibbles like chips would be a nice addition. tasters are $2 for 4-ounce pours.
I had a blast at East end canít wait to go back.
Our host for RBSG 2016, thanks! Large production facility with a spacious taproom up front. Smallish bar without stools, but plenty of scattered tables. Sadly, no wifi. Staff were very helpful, customers were tolerant of our bottle share too. Beers are tasty, available in six ounce or full pours. Handful of bottles on offer too. Great place.
Small dedicated parking lot in a warehouse district. Ambiance is nice industrial. We went on a slow Sunday afternoon. Service was good really enjoyed conversation with the bar tender. Selection was their beer, which was good. Some things were reasonable others were slightly pricey. I would go back.
Took the Brewery tour on 5 Sep 2015. Interesting. Got to sample several of the beers and took a few growlers and glassware home. About 12 beers on tap with even more variety in bottles and still processing in back. Descent prices. Only $2.00 samples or just ask for a free taste before making a purchase. Descent sized room with tables and chairs alongside a coffee shop. No food and only one restroom. Location is hidden away on a side street amongst some warehouses with limited parking. Overall they make the best out of what they have available. Enjoyed the tour and will probably stop back for refills and try other beers when available.
