Visited on 28th May 2016. Pub on the main road out of town. Cozy small rooms, arched ceilings, plenty of tables and a smelly West Highland Terrier are the theme. 6 ales from the local area. Well kept. Good prices. Staff were friendly. It’s a nice local pub and worth the walk out of town.

ManVsBeer  (2040) Hebden Bridge, England | February 20, 2013| Updated July 3, 2016
On the main road through Hebden Bridge, looking out on to the junction where the steep hill up to Heptonstall begins. This is West Yorkshire’s first community run pub and is a collection of small rooms with a cosy atmosphere and differing wooden furniture. The bar is in the first area and there are a set of stairs opposite it that lead to a very pleasant roof patio area with views across the valley. This is a real ale pub so there is a rotating selection with seven pumps (one of which is given over to a real cider), and foreign bottled beers are on sale too

Fin  (1149) Merton, Oxfordshire, England, England | April 9, 2012
We (Fin, Loz, Nigel. Katy, Mark & Kathy) visited here on Sun 8th April 2012. This was a real cosy feel local with good banter and a very down to earth feel about the place. Beers were from Rosendale and Church End and there was a real cider from Gwatkins available. There was also a decent bottled beer selection from Belgium and other countries. Had a couple and a half pints, very pleasant atmosphere, would happily come back here. I understand that the place is attempting to become a community buy out pub.
