A quite nice place, with an ok selection, although I just went for the Hele and Tume this time. Friendly service and quite spacy. I will surely go back at some point checking out the rest of the selection and maybe the food as well, as it looked good when other people had some.
Ok ambiance. I have had some unpleasant experience with service (maybe because I’m local?!). Selection is ok for tourists, but pales compared to Koht and Põrgu (both are just short walking distance from Hell Hunt). Value is ok for old town. Overall: ok I guess.
Last time I was there, I had two sour beers from tap in a row. Gave first one back and the bartender said that he thinks it’s not off and kept serving the beer. He was still nice enough to give me the replacement beer for free, but it was also off (but less than the first beer, which had really nasty aroma). I didn’t bother to send the 2nd one back. If he didn’t think the first one was off, he clearly wouldn’t have thought that this one was also off. Extra point for service, but point removed from overall. Shouldn’t serve sour beer...
Much improved premier beer bar, now with 20+ beers from the top six local brewers, including Põhjala, Öllenaut Tanker, Pühaste, Lehe & Vormssi, on a list that now tops 130 in all. Food is pubby and fairly basic. Seating is now a bit more formal and even comfortable. In the top three and a must-visit in Tallinn.
