First visit. 6 cask ales and 10 keg available on my visit. Interesting selection of smaller Brewers featured in cask. Unusual serving method involving a flow-jet to pump the beers up to tap. What I had was in very good condition. Service was ok. Prices good for London with most cask ales in the £3.40 - £3.80 bracket. Will be back.
Pop in to this pub every now and then en route to other places. Normally have something interesting on tap - got a few ticks. However I just donít find it very friendly. Staff donít seem that bothered. Get a bit of a pretentious, hipster vibe. Ate last time I was there and it was standard wurst. Thatís about it.
Visited the 16th February 2016 - near to the CBC Covent Garden, visited this place with friends just before the place was closing. Good British selection, huge place and can feel a little be cold atmosphere. Staff is friendly and price are correct. I need to visit this place again but more on the evening.
2015-09-24. Nice spot, not much seating. The tiles on the walls remind me of the tube, and the Ministry of Magic at the Warner Bros Harry Potter tour I did yesterday! Server was friendly enough. Surprisingly busy mid-day. Pizza was simple but delicious - great cheese. Not a ton of taps but some solid choices on offer including Kernel, Siren and several from Fyne today. Definitely worth a stop of in the neighbourhood but itís a "pop in" spot for me vs a spot to linger.
Holborn Whippet Has a warren of rooms giving it the most classic British pub feel of any craft place Iíve visited in London so far. Small but well selected assortment of beers available. Good prices. Decent service, a good place
Just a little way from Holborn station the Whippet is a decent pub. Has 2 rooms and bar in the middle, has a decent mix of craft and cask beers, kept in good condition featuring beers from local breweries and some from further afield, although generally the same few.
Service good, food is decent too. Might not pick up anything too new here that isnít on in the Tap or Cask/Craft chains but worth a look
