A solid bottle shop which may well be a little past it's best. First visit I was very impressed, service was very good. My most recent visit it was not so well stocked with a number of bottles of out date & none exsistant service. I chose to visit Seven Season in Hoxton on my latest trip to London, which was excellent all round

Rated 96, WTF? It's a decent enough shop but not that worthy - imvho obviously. Good selection, average service, not enough stock refrigerated

I really don't understand how this is the best rated shop in London. Finally decided to drop by rather than going for my standard shopping places and I'm quite disappointed. Didn't pay much attention to the international selection, looked good but I was in for UK craft which seems pretty standard for craft shops, nothing standing out. Prices also seem high, higher than all webshops anyway... After all the reviews saying about how helpful the staff is, I only got a few mumbles before he turned his attention back to the screen. Asked if he had any Buxton beer to which he replied "I Don't think so"... found 5 different bottles on the shelves. No help whatsoever! I made the mistake by trusting the shop because "it's the best" but there's bottles with BB date expired months ago on the shelves so pay attention. I don't plan on ever returning... rather go to Clapton Craft NW5 "nearby" for a better shopping experience.

Small but interesting collection of worldwide beers. UK craft selection could be better - or at least better stocked. Definitely pales compared to shops on the continent.

The lager selection of world beers is fantastic. Some other proper choices. But honestly the selection pales in comparison to the equally well curated house of trembling in york. Or the sheer number of beers at Beers of Europe near kings lynn. Nor does it stock the many rare beers found at Beautiful Beers in Bury. That said it still remains one of the best in London. Particularly for exports. When ever I have been in (a good dozen of times) the other guy has been in and well he does not drink at all so isnt such a great help (perfectly nice though)! But there is enough to spot a decent find.

For whatever reason, I was expecting something much bigger. Still an impressive selection of local and import craft and even some obscure lagers from various parts of the world. Good prices too. Easy to get to on transit.

The best bottle shop I’ve been too in London! Quite small shop, but completely packed with bottles. They have lots of international beers and some from the US or Scandinavia were quite interesting, but this is definitely for the British stuff! So much interesting beer from small, modern English breweries to choose from, I was a bit overwhelmed at first. Prices are decent, not low, but suitable. The only little downside is the distance to the city centre, but overall this is the type of bottle shop I’m always searching for.

For me - this place is a mofo to get to, Northern Line sweaty packed tube to Camden and then a fight to get on a packed bus (does anyone remember bus queues rather than bus mills?) however once you arrive in this small packed to the rafters with beers shop, it’s normally worth it. As so many have said before Kris is very friendly and helpful chap and I’ve often known him to thrown is a freebie or two when buying a fair few bottles. It can be hit and miss for new beers here - I’ve walked out with 25 and I’ve walked out with 3, but always something. Love this place just wish it was more conveniently located.

This was something of a gem of a shop (which still sets it apart from neighbouring establishments - it’s not in the nicest of areas tbh). But alas for my first visit, last week, it was Kris’ day off and his Dad was looking after the place so I wasn’t able to experience what other reviewers have described (ie Kris’ helpfulness and welcome). But I was able to find myself a good selection of local beers, at reasonable prices, selected from what was their very good range of london, U.K. and international beers. Updated following recent visit again it was disappointing, but for different reasons. Stock not what it was and much of what was there was old and very dusty (and not in a 'maturing with age' good way) so do need to watch BB dates. Seems to have rather had its day and been overtaken by the more recent additions to the craft shop scene which can offer a nicer environment, often with drink in options, and are situated in better and easier to get to areas. Sadly it's no longer deserving of its high score which it still has because of its reviews from 4+ years ago, I regret not getting to see it in its prime.
