Final night in montreal & we’re beat & unsure of where to go to eat/drink/chill with our 3 year old. Mrs tiki -- god bless her crooked little heart -- picked this out & thought I’d be able to rate a couple while we were eating & getting a low-fi buzz on & pretending to pay attention to our kid. She noticed i wasn’t as excited as she thought & I hipped her to the blip of this chain. Still, turned out to be ok. The service was fake but not as bad as other people’s experiences. The beer is the shits as usual buuuuuuuut their seasonal milkshake ipa was actually good. Food was good for what we were doing & its great if you have a kid & wanna drink a few & eat. But yeah if I were without kid I wouldn’t be here with what montreal has to offer with both food & beer culture (wake up mofos).
Today(sept.29th)being the last day with temps over 20/70 degrees this year in Montreal,I walked to all my downtown errands today. After just having a miserable time at Les 3 Brasseurs down the street,we walked in here to see if we could have an equally terrible time.
This place is smaller, quieter and more comfortable. Definitely the choice over the one a little east of here.

My preferred location in Montreal. Bartenders are super friendly, and their flamacouche just seems to be made a bit better. Additionally, their beer cocktail (whit beer with sortilege maple syrup whiskey in) tends to be made a bit stronger at the this location. 3 Brasseurs, regardless of the location though, is an absolute must-do, and often my first stop when visiting Montreal. Highly recommend the Sortilege beer cocktail and the smoked meat flammacouche. Their other beers are worth trying once as well.
Reasonably lively spot. Their beer selection is not very strong, but that’s to be expected. They had their typical 4 or 5 standard styles, and one special beer, a Pale Ale which was pretty good. Food is standard pub fare, but is pretty good.
Nothing big or impressive here, but it’s a safe bet all the way. No shame there.
