Not very close to other breweries, so this requires a special trip. It’s a small, long bar, with gangsta rap playing on the evening I visited… great. They had 15 taps when I visited, including a couple guest taps, with flights of 5 available. House beers were not great, just passable. The highlight was a guest cider. Very friendly service. Not a highlight in Montreal’s now well-established beer scene.

Yet another of the places I try to visit on our annual Montreal trip, that I have neglected actually doing a proper review for. And it's one of my favorites. A tiny bit of a hole in the wall feeling. Sort of an upscale dive bar vibe at times. Dark and somewhat small but always well populated, almost regardless of what time we stop in. This particular visit was a rainy and dark Saturday around 6PM in the end of November 2017. 10 taps, with one being a kombucha, one a cider, and 2 being guest taps. There are a few snack options, but no real food, so a number of the patrons had brought it outside food with them. There's a few decent faster food options within a block or so. Beers here are usually pretty good and it's overall a very nice place to hang out. I fully admit that I probably like this place a little more than most reviewers, and will readily admit there are likely better options in Montreal, but I still love the place. Maybe it's because I wish it was the kind of unapologetic but welcoming sort of place that was a few blocks from my house. Worth a visit if you can swing it.

Visited around 10 pm on a Tuesday night. Small-ish place, it was half full and it was easy to find seating. Service was bar only with friendly and my beer was served properly. There’s a selection of 10 taps (8 of them were their beers when I visited) and there’s a few bottles from other breweries available. I did not try any food. Price were good (4.75$ / 12 oz) and taster are reasonably priced with 5 tasters for 12$. I only tried a beer (Alligator Ass) and it was really good but I wasn’t much excited about other things on th menu. Overall, it’s a nice little brewpub with a fun ambiance that I will certainly visit again if I’m in the area but definitely not a place I would travel in order to visit.

Dark moody atmosphere, 12 bottles and 10 beers on tap, they bre downstairs and have ample seating inside as well as a small terrace out front. Nice place with a  kinda local dive bar feel.  These guys just starts canning three sours I’ll definitely be bringing back to Japan.

Visited late on a Friday night. Place was full but we managed to find some seating. Kind of small place, cozy neighborhood bar feel. A full ten taps of their own beers are now available, the beers range from poor to average-good in my limited experience. I didn’t get to try the food, didn’t see any around but maybe they just weren’t serving anymore. Prices are reasonably cheap which is nice. Decent place, a bit far from the other Montreal beer attractions and not necessarily worth a detour but if you have time, it’s a worthy stop.

In early 2013, about one year after opening, they finally got their brewpub license and started brewing in the basement rather than at Le Bilboquet. They kept carrying around half of their tap likes filled with guest brews from select friendly breweries and not necessarily the most common like trou du diable, micro du lac or naufrageur. They really defined the neighborhood pub, having quickly managed to draw local artists and Young to middle-aged fauna. Ran by four associated in their mid-twenties, dedicated to encouraging local artists and making for a very homey, comfortable pub in which everybody feels welcome. Very competitive pricing by Montréal standards. A very nice addition to the Montréal scene and an extraordinary new venue for the Hochelaga area that is often neglected.
