78 Stopped in after the Reds home opener. So needless to say it was jammed. Big space, sleek design and restaraunt industrial feel. Had a winter warmer that was just ok. I was a little tipsy after drinking throughout the game. But overall I would go again if seeing a normal game. |
80 Located by the Reds' stadium, this is an open, modern concept. Lots of German offerings and many are true to form. Staff is pretty well engaged and focused. Good brewery. |
72 Had a meal a couple beers. Food okay. Beers better than I expected in what appears to be a chain setting. I’d go here again. |
70 Visited after work on a Thursday. Brand new shiny building directly across the street from the baseball stadium. Huge outdoor seating areas at ground level on 2 sides, and large patios on the other two sides. The interior is a big open bar and dining room, clearly designed to handle gameday crowds. The beer selection is 16 house drafts, with 12 rotating guests and a bunch of bottles and cans. Any of the house beers are available for a 4 beer flight for $8. Service was friendly. 70 = **½ (Locals should check it out, visitors with extended time) I only use the total score, not the component parts. |

I really hate to give a bad review a to a place but this is one you dont have to worry about. Nice locaiton but mimiced your prototypical chain brewery (Rock Bottom or Gordon Biersch). They had about 14 beers on tap, tried 3 and was only moderately impressed by the Chai Brown. Food was decent but it took me 50 minutes to get it and it was cold when it arrived. The bartender did apologize and did offer it to me for free but the beers were way over priced for medicore quality. I know downtown Cincy is not known for great beer spots but you can definitely do better somewhere else. |
82 Great selection of beer good food reasonable prices |
82 Been here twice this year before Reds games. First time we sat outside with a gorgeous view of the river. Had the Cuban with garlic fries which was very good. My beer was the Se7en Hefeweizen which went down easily on a warm day with just a little citrus hint. Only complaint was slow service due to being short-staffed, so I didn’t get a chance to get a taste sample (which I like to do if I’m trying a draft that I’ve never had). Second time we ate the bar and the bartender was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the food and beer. I had the mettwurst (1st time I ever tried it) which was outstanding along with the Golden Helles. I would probably consider this a go-to place for me when I go to downtown Cincinnati, especially before/after a Reds game. |
80 Stopped in on an early saturday afternoon. Street parking, which means we had to park a few blocks away. The place has beautiful architecture, modern decor. We went straight up stairs and sat at the bar. Looks like they had about 30 taps upstairs and another 30 downstairs. The service was very good. The bartenders all seemed knowledgeable about beer and the brewery’s history. Pricing was pretty good, as well. |
78 This place looked really nice inside and out, while the food was just as so. While having occasional rare taps, the variety itself is pretty impressive. |
78 I really enjoyed my visit here. This brewpub is located downtown right next to the Reds ballpark. It is quite large, but also quite crowded when I was there. They have around 6-7 house taps and guest taps and bottles. I tried the IPA and pale ale, which I thought were really phenomenal. On their bottle list, they had Alesmith My Bloody Valentine (which has been a want of mine for quite some time...although now it is bottled, so easier to find I guess, but nonetheless, I was super excited to be able to order it). The guest offerings are nothing crazy, but include plenty of solid local beers and imports. The food menu is quite expansive and the food was really tasty. I got the smothered chicken and it was excellent and unfortunately too filling because I really wanted to try dessert too :-) I had no problems with the service during my visit. Definitely worth a stop while in Cincinnati and I would like to come by again. |
