Visited for Oktoberfest. Nice selection of German and other oktoberfest beers, huge place indoors and garden at the back, having to pick some of the food from the inside, while others were delivered by the waitress was a bit confusing. They also have a rotating beer menu, some very local choices included. The food and service was also good. Worth the visit.

This place somehow always keeps new/rare/local gems in rotation whether its on draft/bottle/can. Also, a verified venue on Untappd, so you can stay up to speed with what in rotation.

(backlog recollected in abstinentia) Visited 09/2012. Urban brick Biergarten style within walking distance of the shore. Made the confident impression of being very much an after-work gathering place than being specifically geared toward quickly rotating tap aficionados, which is more than OK. Very nice line-up of Central European DE/AT/CZ beers (Stiegl on tap) and local fare mainly poured in shakers/mugs. Cleared out pretty quickly after we arrived by 11pm on a THU night, but I imagine this venue can make for many a happy hour when packed.

Visited on a Thursday night. Extremely cool ambiance. It really had the feel of an old-time Czech beer garden. Long trestle tables filled the room. I sat at the porcelain tile fronted bar. The service a the bar was friendly and attentive. Didn’t quiz him on his beer knowledge but I’d assume he was completely conversant with the offerings. The tap selection was heavily German, though Pilsner Urquell was prominently featured. After a half liter of that I took advantage of the Monday-Thursday happy hour special, $10 gets you two brats, sauerkraut, great fries, and a half liter of the house pilsner. Great deal and a nice beer. This is a must stop for beer lovers in the Hoboken area.

Went to this place with Ben on November 10th, 2012. Nice sized place, looks like a biergarten inside. Decent german selection with a few other bottles. Service was good to me as they did a good job of only checking when beers were low. Only issue on a Saturday night was the music was really loud and not really "biergarten" style.

Commonly referred to as the "Hoboken Beer Garden," this is a spacious beer hall with two indoor seating areas and one outdoor area. Good selection of German beers, as well as a few taps pouring American beers. The place was packed on a Saturday night and a band was playing, but we still had relatively little trouble getting beers and finding a seat. The clientele on weekends is very "Jersey" but, hey, it’s in Hoboken, what do you expect. Great place that I am sure to revisit.

Came here with my wife, Max, and Jess on a Friday night. We got seating at the large tables that easily accommodate multiple groups. The place is enormous, had a huge crowd, and still felt spacious and open. Décor is nice, ambience is pretty relaxed as well. The staff floats through and even though we had a set server, numerous other staff checked up on us, cleared plates, brought plates, etc. Prices were reasonable enough, half liter pours at $7, liter pours at $13, and all of the beers were priced equally (which is nice when splitting a tab up). We were part of a large party, but they had no problem splitting our check for us. I look forward to coming in sometime during the summer when the outside is all opened up as well.
