74 Stopped here after a full afternoon of walking in mostly 100F heat...the place was packed on that thursday early evening, standing room only for me. The place is all communal seating, big (empty) patio, and the pizza looked fantastic (but alas, i was not hungry). All beers tasted were very solid, especially the IPAs. Flight of 4 for 14$. |
82 Medium sized place with patio outside. Seemed quite busy on the Sundy afternoon. Bunch of taps with various styles. Very good quality. Pizza was tasty. Very nice place and well worth visiting. |
88 Visited 20th February 2020, on a cold afternoon. Staying at the FairMont in Austin, Downtown, this place is a little way out, around 15 minutes and $15.00 each way in an Uber, I was knackered and had been drinking beer all week whilst at our company sales kick off, but decided not to miss this place, while I had the opportunity to escape the colleagues, it was certainly a good call. The place is very open, lots of large bench style seating. The menus of beers are split in to the beers from Pinthouse Pizza and a separate menu for guest beers, around 20 to 25 taps of each. The great news is that you can have 5oz pours of any beer in a flight, their own beers were only $2 per pour. The beers I had were 5 IPAs from the Brewpub, all were solid, with one being outstanding, I checked out the guest list and chose to get 3 more beers, there were some really solid offerings and different to the beers I had been drinking down town. The pizza looked poor, I didn’t try it. Overall this is a must go for some great beers, especially for the IPA fan, and one of my top spots in the city. |
80 Visited in November 2017. Place was hopping, even for a weeknight, but there were still places to be found. There were a couple of dozen “guest beers” on tap plus the standard house beers. Love the webcam that lets you see the selection in advance. The atmospherics are nothing special—it’s a loud, busy pizza parlor—and the pizza itself I would rate as average, but the selection of beer is awesome. If only someone would open a place like this here in my town in Germany. :/ |
74 Great beers brewed localy.
The place itself is croudy and not pleasant.
Extremely noisy, crowded.

78 Cool spot. Like Pizza Port from San Diego got a haircut, cleaned up and wore a corporate suit. Big long tables, order your own pizza. 20 or so of their own taps, but an equal amount of guest taps. Well done. |
76 Third stop. Pinthouse can have a bit of a parking challenge. Very few spots in front, and most of the spots around are for other businesses. There is a lot in back however. This is a large place with long communal picnic table style seating. Bar and pizza have separate ordering lines, but you can order pizza at the bar, so what ever. Wi-Fi available and sans password. Large taplist including their own stuff and a bunch of guest taps. Pretty solid selection, nothing super crazy. Flights available, any combination of theirs and guests; forgot the price. I ordered a flight and a small pizza, which was done pretty quickly. I thought the hoppy stuff was pretty good, the Saison so so. The pizza was not great; kind of soggy in the center, but serviceable. |
92 Multiple drafts, both house made and guest. Solid beer choices! Large and happy mixed crowd, busy and happy staff. Awesome pizza, didn’t try their salads or apps. Little loud, but worth it. |
62 Large place with own desks for pizza and beer. Didn’t eat but had some their beers. They were ok. Service was nice and ambiance of this popular place was good. Easy to combine with visit to Draught Pub. |
80 Good food and good beer. They usually have about 10-15 house beers and 25-30 guest beers on tap, so there’s plenty to choose from. Flights of 5 beers are offered; prices for the flights vary with the prices of the individual beers you select. House beers are generally cheaper. This place can get crowded, so if that’s not your thing, come during off-peak hours. Parking can be difficult, as others have mentioned. Pizza is good and fresh. And if you’re not in the mood for pizza, Noble Sandwiches next door is excellent. |
