No Longer In Business

They are no longer brewing their own beer, so the only reason visiting for the beer enthusiast is if you need some of the mainstream beers from Nua Brygghus. Other than that, the only option is Carlsberg. They have more mixed gin drinks (at stiff prices) than beers. The food is good though, but not particularly cheap.

2019 - they do not brew their own beer anymore Still a very nice Place Lovely pub/restaurant in the heart of Mandal. Located by the river also. A really nice place to visit. Their own beers are absolutely well wort a stop also. Toghether with good food and a cousy nice place. Reccomendable!

Nice centrally located place with good beers. Uniformed and friendly staff that seemed to lack some knowledge about the beers. I was lucky to meet the brewer who helped me pinpoint which beers I had tasted. He told me the like to experiment a bit with the styles, for instance adding coriander to a hefeweissen, making it appear as a wit. I am told by my friend in Mandal that the food is good but pricey. Did not check the menu. Well wort a visit.

Mitt første besøk her i sørlandsk sommersol, perfekt å sitte ute. Den gode hefe weisse kom raskt på bordet, og burgeren var utmerket når den endelig kom. Vi fikk hver vår pose med husets bakervarer siden vi hadde ventet så tålmodig - ingenting å si på servicen! et sted med særpreg og atmosfære.

Koselig bryggeripub med restaurant. Egne og gode øl på tapp. Et sted jeg mer enn gjerne stikker innom igjen.

Visited in September on a short visit. Nice located, but empty. Nice young waiter offered 6 diff. beer in small sample glasses. A bit to much c02 in all of them.

Always and interesting place to visit at specially have a chat with the ever enthusiastic Anders. The food is great and the beer is in constant variation from medium to really nice. The brew master is interested in experimenting with his beer within their own style and don’t care to make up new names even if there is clearly some major changes every now and then, but who really cares except for ticking - sometimes it just about the beer and we have to accept this philosophy. So if you had a mediocre IPA with some British hops and low bitterness this might as well be a nice American style Amarillo/Cascade in perfect balance with the malt next time. Looking forward to also sample something from the new distillery in short time. Remember to also try their own roasted coffee when visiting.

A nice brewpub with their own beer. The food is good. the service is good. But there is more people in the summer season than the winter season. Nice location.

A great place! The one and only in Mandal if you appreciate good beer. Well, food and beer are expensive, 12 Euro for 40 cl and main courses for about 40-45 Euro. If this does not scare you you will certainly enjoy tasty food and high quality beer. 6 beers on tap. Provianten 4-Korn Stout and Provianten Juleøl were excellent. I will return! An interesting place, serving good, put pricey, food, roasting their own coffee, baking their own delicious bread, brewing beer, selling some fine cheeses, hams and home made jams etc. In the near future, maybe distilling too. Since the opening, the beers have improved a lot too. Be sure to stop by if you’re in the area.
