Nice place, the interiour is old fashioned but cozy, we had some lunch and the food was very tastefull. The beerlist is as classic as the furniture. Prices are reasonable.

Amazing cuisine a la biere, true Brussels food made with beer and loving care. We ordered the daily special, and Alain the chef brought out a side of smoked Dinant pork to show us. Draft Boon Lambiek and Girardin 750s made a nice pairing with the meal. Eclectic decor with lots of breweriana, especially upstairs. One of the culinary gems of the city, plan to go early (great for lunch) or make a reservation.

Wow. Where do I begin. I was going to La Tana but it was closed. Looked at the next place on the list and it’s Restobieres. Ride my bike over there and it’s really quiet. Guy serving seems very new and not sure where to seat me but when I go in the girl working there is really cute and friendly so I sit down. Next thing the chef comes out and says hello. He looks like the French chef that’s always lived in your imagination. And he’s incredibly friendly. Shows me the menu and points out some recommendations. I order the cheese salad and when it comes it’s really big. The presentation is rustic and it’s huge. I’m thinking I’ve made a big mistake but then I eat it and the dressing is amazing. I eat the whole thing plus the beer bread that comes with it. Next the chef comes out again and we chat. He commissions a Leroy Tripel beer for his restaurant so I order it and we share it. Next he brings me a fab Belgian Craft Beer to drink. Then shows me his hat collection, his beer memorabilia collection and we share beers with other customers. Great unique experience. Seems I was lucky because it was a quiet night. Fun experience and utterly memorable night. Has a good selection of beers but the key is the food made with Belgian beers. This is a guy totally proud of his heritage. If you want the Belgian experience then come here.

THE resto pour manger à la bière... Petite casserole de moules à l’Hommelbier, Cuisse de canard à la kriek, Mousse au chocolat à l’Hercule Stout !... Génial !

Another one of those places in the area around the Palais de Justice which look like they are tourist traps, but somehow are not. This is an old school restaurant with beer-inspired recipes for Belgian food. The beer selection is comparably standard for Brussels, which means there is definitely something enjoyable among it. Quite a pleasant surprise tbh.

I had a very nice dinner with Franco here. It's just above the market at Place de Jeu des Balles. Interior has two small rooms and there is a back patio during warm weather. Food has great variety and is cooked fresh, main menu in English but the specials are in French. No worries, because the staff all speak English. Good prices, tasty food with many items cooked with beer. Beer list is decent, again good prices, with lots of beers from Wallonia (all Belgian beers). Highly recommended.

A vintage style place in south Bruxelles. Cozy location, relatively small, at lunchtime on a weekday was quiet. Great belgian beers and excellent cuisine (with beer-flavored recipes), portions are huge. Liked a lot, recommended.
