Visited during RBEGS 17, as an extra stop b/c food is for the weak, apparently. Very large resto pub, dark, a bit Western-style. Large selection of beers, but all macro. Had some nice spicy stew and a shitty beer. Service was efficient.

Second time visitor Estonia, this visit due to RBESG. My visit on Friday July 21, 2017.

Stopped by for late dinner and one beer.
Had just finished a bus ride from Riga to tartu, with bus beers and three brewery stops with tastings along the way, then dropped off bags at hotel.
Was late once we got here, probably closing in on 10pm or so. They still had the kitchen open, so ordered food and ate. Service nice. Beer selection a bit lacking. Centrally located, pretty much around the corner from De Tolly. Good place for food, especially late food, saved my evening that did. But food was filling, tasted nice and for me (Swede) was nice price, nothing to complain about in regards to teh food at all! Wouldn’t really stop here for beers if wanting something new, could stay here for a night of eatign and drinking, whilst not ticking though.

A place to eat your lunch and have some A Le Coq. Nothing special and nothing bad.

Not a very good place for a beer. Ok place where just eat and whatch some sport or chill out with friends. Food is okey and from beer selection you can find macro beers mostly.

You don’t come here for beer. You come here for food. Food which is nice and quick and fills your tummy properly. Beer selection is as it is in every this kind of bars across of Estonia: 50 different pissy macro lagers and maybe 1-2 something else. Here the something else are Hoegaarden Witbier and Guinness on tap. Their housebeer is just a regular mix of light and dark lagers.

This place used to have the best selection of beer in Tartu 10 years ago but since then their selection has gone worse, and MANY other places have been opened. The atmosphere is quite abysmal; it’s one of those very bad type of sportbars, with VERY VERY bad type of live music.

Centrally located pub with a bit British feel and Mafia theme. Not the most interesting selection of beer, mostly industrial and pale lagers. Food was quite okay and service was adequate. Far from a must visit, but quite okay for a beer or to and some food.

Ug, I hate to add this place, as it’s not a place you’d want to go to, but it has gone out of its way to select nearly 100 of the region’s worst pissy lagers, so at least deserves to be listed for those in desperate need of a tick. Don’t want to head up north to Finland whilst in Estonia - don’t worry - we’ve got Lapin Kulta here! I turned down the opportunity to tick 2 ubiquitous bottles of piss in my last visit, a visit which caused see-your-own-face-in-the-reflection-from-the-back-of-their-skull blank faces as I asked for Chimay Blue, the only decent beer in their several fridges. We were fortunate to be able to sit near to people who’d bought a whole bottle of vodka, so they could go from shot to shot without having to worry about queueing at the bar repeatedly. Or worrying about trivialities like being able to remain upright on their seats, and not be sprawled on the floor next to us. If this happens to you, the polite way of saying "excuse me, do you need help getting up?" is "milline teist litsidest tahab tansida?" But hey, that was a thursday evening, my memory tells me that it’s actually quite a nice place to eat at lunchtime. Alas that was a memory that contained several good beers - in sharp contrast to the reality of there only being one. A shame, as they’ve put a lot of effort into "themeing" the pub with the mafia stylings.
