This place opened up in my hometown of Congers over the summer of 2011. The space was always a beverage center, but it’s now under new ownership and brand. Spacious layout with stacks of 12-packs, 24-packs, 30-packs, etc. in the center of the room forming aisles (no shelves for these). Wall of fridges in the back with cold beer, but these are mostly macros. Craft beers are on the far left when you walk in, against the wall on shelves. Very decent selection - better than I was expecting. I found some beers I’ve never heard of, and they definitely keep up with new seasonals, even if they are not uber rare. You can absolutely find something good here. They also have 5 taps for growler fills and a fridge upfront with sodas. A couple of younger guys were on duty, and were extremely friendly and professional. I asked if they had any sours, and the guy I asked didn’t know what I meant, but that’s okay with me - it’s not a bottle shop so much as a beverage center, so I didn’t expect them to be experts. I’m just glad they cater to the craft crowd. For those of you who live in areas that do not have beverage centers, they are basically warehouse-looking establishments carrying tons of beer and soda where middle-aged dudes and underage kids go to get ready for watching football and partying, respectively. Nice place. Will be back for sure.
