Comically large beer selection with every conceivable food item in America to go along with whatever draft you pick. My only real complaint is that you need glasses to read the portable beer list, otherwise there’s a good chance you’ll be squinting.
As a BU student, I used to come here a bit. In fact, I celebrated my 21st birthday at this location. I always had a love-hate relationship with it though. The beer list is massive, but it is sadly no curated. They basically throw 113 random beers on the list, and you can hope that there will be ten that you haven’t had or are otherwise hankering to have. This isn’t to say that they serve crappy beer, but they will serve 10 indistinguishable IPAs if that is how the cookie crumbles. The prices are fine, all things considered, and they do offer flights, which is something I have availed myself of for the first time on my recent visit. The food will make you sick, probably because it is cheap bar food. Think nachos and massive portions at that. The service, while occasionally polite, can be quite bad. I remember it being pretty crappy when I went to college, and I was not surprised to find that they haven’t improved dramatically. For example, my friend accidentally broke a beer glass on the table. A waiter walks by and says "whoa" and keeps walking. Nobody cleaned up the broken beer glass. Need I say more.
A popular neighbourhood bar (quite close to Deep Ellum) with a very busy beer list - eight pages of beers, 45 different meads and 15 ciders. In total I counted 112 taps and 380 bottles! There are two main rooms upstairs and another one downstairs (also where the toilets are; I mention this because one of the stalls in the ladies is reserved for the employee of the month!). One of the upstairs rooms is quite large and has lots of beer paraphernalia neatly displayed on the walls giving it a bright and cheerful feel. The service was very friendly and the beer was nicely served and in good condition.

I feel like I’ve just stepped into Miami here! Just kidding. Nice enough beer selection but nothing I got overly giddy about. Perhaps with distribution these days and with so many great beer bars out there I felt underwhelmed with my visit. It definitely has that booze barn vibe and I’d come back another time for a feed and get my drink on. Or maybe not. Nice mead selection though, assuming they were all in stock. Fun spot that warrants a visit anyway.
Another stop while on vacation in Boston. Love the "look" of the place. Neighborhood pub, but large and inviting. Lots of families and a wild demographic group on a Sunday afternoon. Awesome selection. Took forever to review the drafts and bottles. They even had Cantillon bottles! Drank some local drafts and ordered an appy which was very good. Very friendly bartender who was also quick and knowledgeable. Will return!
