Fat Headís Trail Head Pale Ale
Draft at Bru Craft. Slightly hazy deep gold pour with solid top of soft egg-shell foam. Lots of lace. Well carbonated but aroma feels blunted. Mellow dank citrus hops. Thick toasted cracker malts. Notes of wax, grapefruit, tree sap, juniper and burnt butter. Finishes like a lager. Full and quaffable.

Fat Headís Boogaloo Blonde
Tap at IPH Robinson. Listed simply as Fat Headís Belgian Blonde, so I hope this is the right place to put this rating. Clear pale, nice head. Slight smell of bandaid. Decent co2 with hints of lemon peel in the taste at first. Unrefined saison yeasty effects. Needs a few more manners for a belgian ale my friends, typical domestic wannah bee. JMHO, but what do I know about beer? Go figger.

Fat Headís Spooky Tooth Imperial Pumpkin Ale
Draft... Pours clear and deeply amber with shimmers of copper and a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma features tons of rich, medium-roast malts and autumn spices. Full-bodied with adequate carbonation. The flavor is malty-sweet and moderately spicy. There may be some actual pumpkin in here. Just enough bitterness to prevent the sweet, rich malts from getting carried away. Very enjoyable.

Fat Headís Wine Barrel Aged Zeus Juice
Draft... Pours clear and amber with orange highlights and a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Nice, thick weeping lacework. The aroma features bourbon, toffee, caramel and light spiciness. Full-bodied and velvety with laid-back carbonation. This is way too sweet. It has great bourbon flavor without overbearing booziness or heat, but the honey and toffee sweetness is unchecked and cloying. Lengthy, sweet, sticky, bourbon finish. Enjoyable as a sipper.

Fat Headís Boogaloo Blonde
Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark amber color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded quickly and left minimal lacing. The aroma was grainy and wheaty with faint phenol and bubblegum. The flavor was grainy with cracker, yeast, phenol and bubblegum. Medium length finish of grain and phenol. Medium body. Meh.

Fat Headís Roll Tide Red
On tap @ Pine Box. Pours clear dark amber caramel with medium creamy white head that laces well. Aroma is roasty caramel malt, nutty with crisp rye flavor and light hops. Taste is likewise - big nutty caramel malt, lots of rye malt, hops are light (especially for Fat Headís!), clean finish. Well balanced. Not bad.

Fat Headís Stumbleberry
On tap at Fat Headís PDX, pours a clear copper with a small white head and a floating blueberry atop. Aroma is pure berries, especially blueberry. Flavour is almost like fruity juice, with tons of jammy fruit juice that is dominated by blueberries. Medium sweetness, seemingly mostly from the berries. Unusually fruity and un-beer-like.

Fat Headís Hooka Juice
On tap at Fat Headís PDX, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is extremely dank, with herbal, pot-like hops. Flavour is like pure pot oils, yes, "pot", with lots of herbal hops and grass. Lovely dankness from the potty hop. Very good stuff.

Fat Headís Kettle Sour #5
On tap at Fat Headís PDX, pours a cloudy golden with almost no head. Aroma brings out lots of lacto upfront, followed by citric and berry tartness. Flavour is immensely drinkable, with tons of lacto and juicy citrus. Somehow this is really deep and complex, with a super juicy citrus finish. Excellent.

On tap at Fat Headís PDX, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, some juiciness but mostly a dry biscuity malt base. Flavour is potent, with lots of hops oils, piney hops and biscuity malt. Just a really well-done west coast IPA. Excellent.

Fat Headís Owenís Resurrection
On tap at Fat Headís PDX, pours a murky dark reddish amber with a small beige head. Aroma is abrasive, with lots of sweet red wine barrels, caramel, subdued hops and earthy notes. Flavour is brutal, with cloyingly sweet sugars, caramel, sweet red wine and tons of alcohol. Such a brutal beer - needs some serious tweaking - difficult to drink.

Fat Headís Owenís Demise
On tap at Fat Headís PDX, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma is abrasive, with phenolic and gasoline notes from the alcohol, along with caramel and bready malt. Flavour is a little more palatable, with huge amounts of resinous hops, heaps of caramel and high residual sweetness. Extremely abrasive, with all sorts of clashing notes. This needs some serious tweaking - difficult to drink as is.

Fat Headís Spooky Tooth - Rum Barrel Aged
On tap at Fat Headís PDX, pours a cloudy murky orange amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out a nice mix of overt rum and spicy pumpkin notes. Flavour is huge, with loads of rum upfront, followed by nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin purťe. The rum takes centre stage, though the pumpkin character is always apparent. Not usually a fan of pumpkin beers, but this is impressive.

On tap at Fat Headís PDX, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out espresso beans upfront and dominating, with a little roast. Flavour is exactly what youíd expect and hope for, with dark roasted espresso beans dominating, not a whole lot else to speak. Nicely constructed, with the bold coffee notes lingering. Very good.

Fat Headís Hop JuJu Imperial IPA
Draft at Baileyís in Portland. Mostly clear orange with a one finger white head. Aroma is great, orange, mango and tropical notes, sugar, caramel, candy. The flavor has a nice hop/malt balance, which people on the west coast rarely appreciate, but as an East coast transplant, I do. Nice malty candy caramel base, very hoppy but not super bitter, nice orange and tangerine. Medium full bodied, great crisp feel. Solid. How does Fat Heads always crush it? Donít care, will drink anytime.

Fat Headís / Stoudts / Hofbršuhaus Cleveland Itís Not Rocket Science
On tap in Cleveland (OH)
A pair of known breweries pairs with a newcomer to the Cleveland scene to hit it out of the park. Iíll have to make it downtown to see what Hofbrauhaus does with their own beers in 2017.

Aroma / Appearance - A caramel semitransparent base is graced with a pearly crown. Floral dryer sheets, crisp cool mango, and bright hops merge into a smooth profile that smells like a Florida laundry basket.

Flavor / Palate - The soft deft touch washes cleanly across the tongue before a belated splash of fruits can be picked up. Aggressive from that point onwards, it shows the evidence of Fat Headsí involvement for the rest of the sample. Fortunately it is not just a one trick pony. If this appears again at the brewpub Iíd have to seriously consider another pour.

Fat Headís Head Shrinker
Draft pour into a pint glass. The beer is a clear copper color with a white head of foam. The aroma has lots of tropical fruits and citrus character. Taste has fresh cut fruity sweetness up front, then a big, dry bitterness in the finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. Fairly dry finish. I really enjoyed the first few sips of this beer, but as I continued drinking it, the dry bitterness overpowered the tropical fruity notes that I enjoyed. Too bad.

Fat Headís Pimp My Sleigh
Typical American attempt at a Belgian style beer that went wrong. Not terrible, but way overboard. Aroma was a little weak but ok. Strong Belgian yeast and some holiday spices. Pour was a nice dark red/brown with no hint of a head. Taste was way too sweet and cloying. The Belgian yeast was strong. Lots of spices intermingled with the overly sweet sip. Finish was sweet, wet and long. Very little carbonation. I love Fat Heads but this beer missed the mark

Fat Headís Hop Stalker Fresh Hop IPA
12 oz bottle poured. Huge thanks to Chris for the bottles! Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a solid lasting foam head. A dank hops aroma, with a nice invitation. Flavor is juicy, creamy body, melon, citrus, and a cool melon finish. Very tasty IPA. A most refreshing example on what a fresh hop should be. Surprised to see this come from a brewery away from the hops source. Very nice beer here.
