Tap at Vandermill. Very pale straw with minimal head. This is very interesting. Lightly tart, but the main characteristic is an complex earthy apple. There's no actual barrel here, but it has some woody flavor. Almost no alcohol despite being listed at 9.2%

can. Golden red with small head. Medium tart cherry, tannic cherry skin. Plenty of sweet apple. In other words, it's a cherry cider.

Shared bomber poured to snifters displaying a clear & bright, light golden color, with some bubbles that quickly diminished to no head or lacing. The nose was apple, some berry & cherry fruitiness, mellowing honey sweetness, and just a hint if any of noticeable barrel or bourbon. Light to medium bodied, with low carbonation, the taste was similar but a mild version, almost an afterthought of the aroma notes. Some alcohol presence was detected. Pleasant, but didn't follow through on the anticipated flavor profile.

Bomber pours a clear pale copper. Sweet sugary Apple aroma with boozy bourbon and oak. Taste is tart and sour apples meeting vanilla and caramel oak with a bourbon punch. It’s hard to tell if it’s just not my thing or if it’s just not good. Either way I won’t be drinking much of this.

Vander Mill Nunica Pine
On tap at Ellyn’s Tap & Grill in Glen Ellyn, IL., and dispensed to a tulip showing a clear & bright, light gold/straw color, with a quickly diminishing layer of soft white foam that was replaced by a persistent, thin ring, and light spots of lacing. The nose was sweetness, apple & skins, subtle spice, and a bit of resin. Ditto on the flavor, light to medium bodied, with lively carbonation, tartness & tanginess, and a pleasantly dry finish.

Vander Mill Totally Roasted Cider
It pours bright light clear yellow with a small white head. The aroma has way more pecans than I expected, rough spice and apples, but the apples are more in the back with adjuncts on front. It has a medium smooth body with really soft carbonation. Oh man, this is tasty. Nice balance of apples, pecans and vanilla. The cinnamon is there but fairly light. Probably good to have it light as it could overtake. Really tasty, super easy drinking and very interesting.

Vander Mill Blue Gold
Danish pint from a pint can; from Keg Liquors. Aroma: Semi-sweet apple juice with a touch of blueberries; virtually nothing in the way of tartness. Appearance: Transparent, still berry tinted gold with no head. Flavor: Semi-sweet juice up front; blueberry comes in more halfway through, but doesn’t add any tartness or additional complexities; the finish lingers. Palate: Light body, slick texture, soft carbonation, long finish. Overall: On the dull side of things all around.

16oz can. A pretty cool Cider. Dry, medium bodied. Pale yellow body. No real head. The aroma is quite unique...cinnamon, vanilla, pecan. Not in line with an Ice Cider or something of that magnitude, but quite an enjoyable beverage.

Shared bomber. Clean, shiney light gold. This is the best "cider" I have experienced. Granted, I’ve had few because I’ve been of the opinion that they pretty much taste the same-- like hard cider. Not this one. Oak character. Hints, just hints of bourbon. Apple and honey, but not the tart fruity character of apple nor the sweet stickiness of honey. Everything balanced nicely. Definitely a "buy again."
