Les Brasseurs du Temps Grande Rivière
October 22, 2014 - at BDT - on draught. Looks great - clear refractive copper pour with a decent lasting off-white head. Aroma is cranberries, orange peel and alcohol - taste follows, nice balance, not too sweet. Solid carbonation, average body - nice acidic bite in the quick finish. Very solid beer.

Les Brasseurs du Temps Obwandiyag
October 21, 2014 - at BDT, on draught. Dark cloudy amber with a diminishing off-white head. Yeasty "Belgian" aroma - a little sweet, but also a bit faint - not much bitterness, more fruity (7-). Taste follows - a little more alcohol than the aroma, orange peel - mostly fruity and yeasty; very grainy. Solid chewy body, astringent and a medium finish - finishes quick -- ehh.

June 13, 2014 - at Station HOST - on draught. Hazy brick red with a lasting beige head. Great black IPA - strong, deep roast, solid herbal bitterness; solid body, astringent, average carbonation and a fairly long green bitter finish. For once I dug one of these!

Les Brasseurs du Temps La Belle Empoisonneuse Fût de bourbon
June 12, 2014 - at Brouhaha - on draught. Black pour, light brown head. Aroma is Jack ’n roast. Taste is much more complex - sweet vanilla, oak, light bourbon, almost has a cola taste - a little more roast, some licorice. Very light body, airy, oddly hot (raw cinnamon?) - finishes quickly .. not really my thing, but pleasant.

Les Brasseurs du Temps Cageux
Bouteille - 750ml.

Bottle pour at Festibiere Gatineau. Basically I'm with Lubiere below (which is code for, Im too drunk to speak for myself). Dark amber/caramel pour. Lots of residual sugar on the nose, with oak/woodsy notes. Basically it's a sugary caramel malt with some nice barrel notes. No hop aromatics but that's okay - this stuff is like a barrel-aged barley wine with some nice balancing hop bitterness. Texture/mouth feel is smooooooth af. Finish is moderately dry and bitter, with some pleasant lingering booziness. This stuff has no jagged edges - which is impressively for such an intense brew. Interested to see where this stuff lands once it has some reviews because I think it's a definite keeper. Would love to get a couple bottles for home sampling/cellaring. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

In mouth, a nice caramel malt with grassy resinous floral hops, light grapeskins, light licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice and complex. Bottle at Festibière de Gatineau été 2017.

Les Brasseurs du Temps L’Allumante
A solid off-white head with good retention. Body is an appealing rich caramel colour. The nose features a big roasted caramel malt presence with a solid touch of resin and fruity hops. Heres hoping that this is the recipe the BDT settles on for the long term. A fresh caramel malt lead on the taste profile. Toffee, light fruity hops, berries and apricots round out a diverse but well blended profile for a sub 6% ale. Dense and rich.

Les Brasseurs du Temps DumDuminator Fût de Cabernet Sauvignon
Interesting beer, nose is wineish but also has lots of traditional weizenbock estery components, touch of alcohol. Taste is sharper wine character, weird as hell beer because you don’t expect this kind of light sweet banana/spice flavor to pair with wine flavors and oak, but good stuff, exciting, different.

Les Brasseurs du Temps DumDuminator Fût de Cabernet Sauvignon
750 mL bottle. Pours a clear deep amber. Smells of cherry, raisins, sweet caramel, banana, and a little bit of red wine acidity. Tastes much more of red wine. Sweet caramel, red wine, bright and fruity. Back end is mostly red wine barrel. Medium heavy. Smells a lot better than it tastes, as it has a very dynamic nose. A little bit abrasive and sharp in the taste.

Les Brasseurs du Temps La Folle
Pours a clean amber colour with a caramel hue. Foamy-creamy beige head, long retention and foamy thick lacing. Gets hazy at second pour. Toasted malts with caramel notes and hops. Hints of blueberries. The fruits are also way too mild in the taste to call it a blueberry beer. Roasted and caramel malts in the flavours showing a decent IPA. The bitterness is quite nice for this style in the finish. Grassy hops in all. A nice IPA with minimal blueberry action.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a small frothy white head and has a slightly hazy golden appearance. Nice dirty lacing. Aromas are fairly fruity, some hints of tropical fruits. Flavours are very much on the fruity side, lots oranges and tropical fruits as well. Lively carbonation. A bit of a tangy finish on the palate. Very yummy.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a very small foamy tan head that goes away fairly quickly. Has a slightly murky amber appearance. No lacing remains. Average retention. Medium carbonation. Aromas of dark fruits (raisins, plums) and light toasted malts with hints of spices. Flavours are again mostly dark fruits like plums and raisins, even a bit of prunes in the finish. Very faint hint of smokiness in there as well. Notes of spices to round things out.

Pours a hazy copper-caramel colour with a mocha head, not lasting too long and with not much lacing. Wow, what aromas !! Licorice, bananas, loads of spices and full other fruits. Flavours of prunes, caramel, apples, mild herbal sourness with decent sugars hiding the alcohol content very well. What a great quadrupel, which I would compare to some of the great early Unibroue beers.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dark brown color ale with a medium size foamy head with limited retention and not much lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt notes with some grainy notes and light dry fruits. Taste is a mix of light dry fruits notes with heavy caramelized sugar with too much residual sugar notes and a grainy aftertaste. Body is full with limited filtration and medium carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. Lacking attenuation and balance and I was not too fond of the grainy aftertaste.
