Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 01.08.17. Clear pale golden. Impressive and persistent bright white head. Refreshing aroma and taste of yellow apples, sour wild apples and apple zest. An excellent thirst quencher! Semidemidry. Lively mouthfeel.

750 ml clear screwcap bottle, vintage 2014, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6%. Clear and extremely pale yellow colour, pours sparkling, no lasting head. Pleasant aroma of apples, hints of oak and sulphites. Semi-dry flavour, refreshing and well balanced flavour of apples. A good cider!

75cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Tromso. Pours clear gold. Aroma of fresh apple juice. Spritzy on the palate with a pleasant fresh apple juice character, some apple skin bitterness, very faint core to give a light raw touch, drying finish. S’alright this.

0.75l twist off cap clear bottle from the 2014 vintage. A thin little bubbly quickly fizzing away white top over a clear pale yellow colored body. It smells quite a lot. Strong apply, a really inviting red sweetness from small red stilen apples. It’s also mild earthy, Cork and blue cheese. Not horrible at all. It’s nicely carbonated, tiny bubbles and in the mouth it’s kinda thin, not directly, but near watery. More green apply and dry in the taste. Soft dusty, both pear and stale apple juice. There’s also a nice little sourness that makes it a bit more interesting. Minerals and green grapes in the finish. Kinda mouthdrying. Yeah, I liked it. 21.09.2015

0.75l bottle (as 2014 version). No real head on this one, just a foamy heady dot floating in the middle of the glass. The cider is as good as clear and pale golden in the glass. Smells quite decent with a nice fruity apple presence, mild earthy dust and a little bit of pear and peach. Decent not too sweet and somewhat inviting for a cider. It has a mild oily texture and it’s about average on the bubbles. Tastes a bit, ehm how to say, raw? I get a little bit to much of the yeasty booziness? Not that it’s strong or anything. Really earthy, almost "sementy" dryness in the taste. Old red mealy apples that has been dried a tad too long in the cellar. Hints of marzipan in the tail. Not completely mine thing this, but it smells quite good. 02.09.2015

Bottle from Lerøy Mat, Bergen. Pours a crystal clear golden body, completely still. Aroma is apple juice, yeast, fresh leaves and hints of wood. Taste is tart apple juice, citrus, yeast and hints of fresh leaves and unripe green apples. Light body, no carbonation. Pleasant enough still cider, but the age hasn’t imparted the kind of flavors I’d expect. In fact, I’m surprised to detect flavors mostly found in "green" ciders, such as yeast and vegetal tones.

750 ml bottle. Clear pale straw golden body with fast disappearing white head. Weak aroma, mostly acidic apple and some sulfur. Flavor is weak and unbalanced, acidity, yeast and sulfur. Thin body and short, not particular nice aftertaste. It might be something wrong with this bottle compared with previously ratings here.

750 ml bottle. Clear pale golden body with much carbonation and a small white head. Quite mild in aroma, apples, yeast, some oxidation and sulfur. Flavor is sweet apples and fruity acidic, apple cores, yeast and sulfur. Medium body and medium aftertaste. Drinkable, but feels a bit weak on the apple flavor (might be the two year age) and too unbalanced with too much sulfur for my likings.

Bottle. Pours a pale yellow body with loads of surfacing bubbles, making a pretty hectic appearance. Nose is wood, sulfur, apple juice, alcohol and hints of muscat grapes. Taste is mild apple juice and dry wooden notes, with hints of alcohol and sulfur. Fizzy carbonation, medium to dry mouthfeel and body. Not the worst of ciders, but somewhat boring and lacking in both aroma and flavor.

Bottle. Pours a pale green-tainted yellow body with a small frothy white head and loads of bubbles, bearing it for a short while. Nose is soft apple juice tones, wood and subtle red berries. Hints of apple peel. Taste is apple juice, tart red berry-like fruitiness and hints of wood and oxidized apples. Light to medium body, medium carbonation. Quite nice - it seems more integrated both flavor and alcohol-wise than the 2012 edition, despite the extra 1,5 % ABV. Certainly a notch better; I guess high ABV ciders becomes a bit of age.

750 ml clear bottle, vintage 2011, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 7.5%. Very pale straw colour, pours medium sparkling with a white head that soon subsides. Aroma of Gravenstein apples (once Norway’s most beloved eating apple variety), also notes of farmhouse and sulphur. The flavour is medium sweet with some rough sulphurous notes, and a surprisingly bitter finish.

Bottle, 75cl. It’s a clear, pale golden cider, some white bubbles on top. Lightly acidic apple aroma with some faintly spiced hints. Apples and some sweetness in the flavor, almost candy-ish, but it’s far from cloying or tasting of white sugar. Full body, semi-dry, and with some carbonation. Lasting finish which is a bit sweet. A quite nice one. 130216

Bottle, 75cl. It pours a lightly hazy, yellowish golden body and some white bubbles. Sweetish apples and some apple cores in the aroma. The flavor is rather boring, with some cellar notes and yeast, and of course mostly apples. Quite effervescent, medium body and semi-tart. Apples in the end. Well, this one was disappointing. Sample @ Hardanger Frukt og Siderfestival, Øystese. I’ve seen these ciders around for quite a while, so it feels weird to be the first rater... Nice, nevertheless. :-) Light golden body, small and unexpectedly long-lasting white bubbly head. Nose is distinctly Gravenstein (common in Hardanger) apple tones, wood, and hints of butter and green apple peel. The apple peel notes re-appear in the taste, along with hints of wood and yellow apples. Very balanced and nice; me like.
