Toppling Goliath Pompeii IPA
On tap at El Bait Shop. Clear golden appearance with a lacy white head. Aroma of fresh hops, citrus zest, pine, flowers and mild grains. Similar flavor, fresh, juicy, hoppy, zesty and moderately bitter with mild piney/floral notes and light malt sweetness. Light to medium body with a slight dry finish. Nice IPA!

On tap at the brewery. Hazy orange. Smells of citrus and garlic. Huge hop aroma. Tastes less intense. Sweet pale malt. Sweet orange citrus. Garlic bite. Light bitterness, but enough to cut the sweetness. Medium heavy. Very good. Seldom do I really enjoy an 8%+ DIPA, but this is excellent.

650ml bottle from local grocery store. Pours an unclear old gold with a spongy off-white head. Nice citrus hoppy blend. Pineapple. A bit muddled. Medium bodied with a touch of an alcohol presence. Progressively more bitter down through the glass, finishing to the bitter side of bittersweet. Quite tasty! 14.1

Bottled 04/27/17 (about 2 months on it). Enjoyed with Jane. At the Field Museum, Chicago. Pours fairly hazy yellow orange, nice white head. Aroma is mango, lemon, orange, tropical fruits. Bit of biscuit malt. Flavor is sweet tangerine, mango, lemon, orange rind, grapefruit rind. Sweet booziness to it. Piney bitter finish, but not unduly so. I also Sampled it on tap there as well. It was basically identical except the draught was a bit more punchy with the bittering hops (more bitter piney finish). An excellent beer. Happy to tick this one off.

This is a quality pale. Very piny and citrus like. Nice hot day beer. Head was good. Has a nice malt flavor if you let it warm up a bit. Overall just a solid easy drinking beer.

Pours a hazy golden with a medium white head that slowly recedes. The aroma is powerful and with a whole bunch of citrus. Heavy grapefruit and pineapple, orange, mango, resin, and lighter floral hops. Incredibly enticing in my opinion. Very bitter, dry, and not all that sweet, the taste takes an unfortunate step back from what the nose offered. But its still good. Grapefruit is the dominant flavor, with orange and pine. Its still quite floral with some herbal hints. Short grapefruit finish. Lighter in body, sticky in texture, and average in carbonation. Easy to drink and easy to enjoy.

Shared bomber poured to snifters showing a hazed, light orangey/gold, almost straw hue, with a decent layer of soft white froth, and foamy spots of lacing. The nose was an expressive blend of citrus, some tropical notes, and grass & greenery. Medium bodied, with fair carbonation, the taste was similar, with presentable citrus & rind-like bitterness, and some dryness to the finish. Not a consistent TG fan, but this one presented a pleasant balance of malt & hop, and nice quaffability.

16 oz. can. Hazy bright orange. Smells of sweet orange and a hefty resin aroma behind it. Cracker malts. Taste has the same bright orange up front, but it’s dank and herbal behind it. Resiny finish, though not a ton of bitterness. Biscuit malt backbone. Medium light. Very drinkable. Better than most of the TG stuff coming out of Lakeland.

Bottle in the dining room, just now.
Pours super hazy and yellow with a big head & good lacing on the glass.

The aroma is grapefruit & some pineapple, a little bit of bready malt & some lighter floral tones.

The flavor is mildly bitter with a bit of sweetness up front and a long dry finish. Lots of citrus and melon like hop flavor... a bit of citrus zest. Really bright & tasty.

Solid pale ale, but definitely overrated. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed this pale ale a ton. The mouthfeel is ridiculous for being a pale ale. Feels much more like an IPA. It has a tropical taste going on which is great as well. I’m a big fan of this beer, but I still think it’s a bit overrated.

Bomber style bottle consumed with Grandma’s Duluth crew. Purchased at Mount Royal. Lighter golden color. Aroma is bright and citrusy. Taste is also bright with refreshing citrus and pine characteristics. Tart and slightly bitter without overwhelming the consumer. Slight sweetness present. Very easy to drink with a slightly oily mouthfeel. Enjoy the emphasis on the hoppy nose. I would consider this a slight upgrade over traditional PseudoSue.

Can 16oz: Hazy, deep straw with a hint of copper, great head and lace. Mich of hop and malt. Lovely tropical aroma. Hint of pine. Fruit yeast or malt profile. The palate is dry. balanced and fresh. Some sweetness but not the weight of an IPA or DIPA. Bitterness is balanced almost perfectly. A wonderful beer. Why drink a session IPA when you have beers like this.

Purchased a growler at brewery...drank 3 weeks after purchase. Uses an experimental hop. Hue is pale golden and is quite cloudy. Head is foamy white and dissapates to fine glass edge cling. Nose is of pine & grapefruit. Mouthfeel is between velvet and a fine carbonation. Taste is grapefruit that quickly turns bitter with a subtle molasses / citrus sweetness that finishes with a lingering back throat bittersweet pine bite.

Can in Seattle. Creamy head, sticks around well. Touch hazier than clear, orange. Well balanced Citra aroma, with plenty of malt backing. Quite modest bitterness. Easy drinker, good orange citrus flavors, low resin note. Not impressive at first glance, but it has a great finesse. A slight mintiness to the hoppy finish. Modest bitterness at the end.

Hazy yellow orange with a big bubbled white head. The nose has a slight tangerine and pear hint over strong floral and slighty piny hops. The malt is very subtle and adds a very mild biscuit note. The flavor is more evergreen than citrusy hops, with a nice malt backbone that leaves this a bit sweet and nicely rounded out. Although nugget is not an amazing hop by any means, this is a pretty nice beer, and well balanced.
