Wormtown Buddha’s Juice
12oz bottle. Poured deep golden with just a bit of a white head. Plenty of citrus and dark fruit notes. Surprisingly very easy to drink despite the huge abv. Another impressive brew from Wormtown.

Taste is medium sweet malt, medium to strong grapefruit citrus, tangerine and floral notes, zesty, medium+ bitterness, dry finish. Medium bodied, soft+ carbonation, oily. Bottle from Julio’s. Poured into a tulip glass. Foamy tan head settles to a medium lace. Sweet malts and vanilla on the nose and palate. Rich chocolate tones. Sweet up front but bitter on the back side. Very good. This would probably smooth out a lot more with some cellaring.

Wormtown Punxsutawney Pils
Bottled version. Pours out a slightly hazy greenish-golden color. Off-white head settles to a thin lace. Earthy-spice aromas with some funky fruity sweetness. Bready in the middle. Crisp, sweet finish. The aroma kills this one for me though. Too funky.

Draft at the Foundry. Pours orange with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Fairly big citrus on the nose. Lots of malt on the tongue which blends nicely with the citrus hops. Hides it’s booze well. Finished clean. Nice.

Wormtown Be Hoppier IPA
To be precise this review is on the sister beer "Be Hoppiest" which is not in the RateBeer database. Cloudy, muddy straw. Full body, moderate flavor, rich mouthfeel but not as hot as one would expect from the 10.7% abv, short length. Sweet, crisp, mildly bitter. Hop flavor hidden by soupy malt. Pleasant to my taste but a bit more hop would improve it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from One Stop Market. Appearance is clear, dark ruby red with fair sparkle, two-finger width foamy beige head with good retention and tons of sudsy lacing. Aroma is roasted malts and coffee. Taste is strong roasted coffee offset by caramel sweetness, a bit like heavily browned toast at the end. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, soft carbonation and bittersweet roasted finish. Overall, I typically like my coffee-related beers to be heavy and thick but it was a nice change of pace to get it in a lighter form.

Wormtown Norm Chocolate Coconut Stout
From notes. Had in line while waiting for order forms at Dark Horse for the 4 Elf Party on December 9. 22 oz bottle shared by ebone1988. The pour is a darker brown with a thin cap of darker tan head and no lace. The aroma is fake. All fake coconut and sunscreen. I’m not liking that at all. There is a light roasted malt, some light chocolate, but they all fail in comparison to the fake coconut. The flavor is much of the same. The coconut seems a little less fake, but it is still rough. The chocolate, roast, and a light maltiness come through a little more so. The mouth feel is a touch light and softly carbonated with a lingeringly sweet fake coconut that lasts forever. Not that great.

Draft at the Sylvan Street Grille, Salisbury, MA. Deep brown in color with lasting thin head. Lace down the standard shaker glass. Aroma is toasted nuts, mile chocolate, yeast. The body is pretty good for a brown ale, medium with a creamy texture. The flavor reflects the aroma with the addition of a mild coffee element. The coffee is light but overall, this is very drinkable.

Wormtown Sweet Tats
Good heavy duty stout from the Worms. Dumped this into a Samuel Smith’s pint glass and got a pretty good head which disappeared quickly. The stout is an opaque black with an aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and vanilla. The flavor follows the nose with a medium to heavy body and a lot of very dark chocolate prominent, with the vanilla on top. Creamy with a bite of bitterness in the finish. At 9% and with such a full flavor, one of these is plenty.

Wormtown Bottle Rocket Pale Ale
APPEARANCE- slightly cloudy does not obscure the orangy amber beauty of this pale ale. NOSE- pleasenly hoppy. Flirting with what I expect an ipa to smell like. But sits clearly on the pale ale side. FLAVOR- slight bit of fruity hop at the beginning of the sip. It fills out with a good (but not terribly solid) malt backbone - it’s probably on point for this beer. NOTES- this pale ale walks up to the line of ipa, and stops just short. Well done.

Wormtown Pumpkin
Bottle:   Straw in color, pale haze, thin foamy white head, little lacing.   Lighter for a Pumpkin Ale.   Faint spicy nose, cinnamon and nutmeg.   On the tongue its a bit of a floral aspect, perhaps spiced candle.   Average body and mouthfeel.   Faint spicy finish.   The spices are up front, what little spices there are as the backside is fairly plain.   Very pedestrian, with a candlesque like spiciness.   Thanks Mike!

Wormtown Be Hoppy IPA
Bottle from Table and Vine. Bright gold with chill haze and nice head and lace. Awesome lemony grapefruit floral aroma. Lemony grapefruit and pineapple fruity sweetness with just the slightest touch of honey and grass. Assertive but not overwhelming citrus and spicy bitter dry finish. Medium-light body with soft mouthfeel and fine carbo to accentuate hops. Pretty FUCKING EXCELLENT. Definitely a top IPA. Bought one for my wife, too, but, alas, she is not here right now so . . . don’t tell her.

Bottle from some place in Randolph, MA. Resinous, pungent cat pee and pineapple aroma with faint base malt in the background. Almost clear dark gold under a persistent, white flannel blanket. Sweet base malt flavour at first, followed by bitter, pungent cat pee, tropical and stone fruit hops at an assertive level. Medium light body, medium carbonation, crisp. Lingering bitterness.

Wormtown Be Hoppier IPA
Bottled 7/20/16, drunk 8/31/16.
High clarity to the peachy-golden, lightly copper-tinged body with a medium-sized, off-white head atop showing moderate retention. Sediment left behind in the bottle.
Pretty standard West Coast rendition featuring a guest appearance by some juiciness (rather brief). Cherries, ruby red grapefruit, spicy orange and light pineapple with a bit of excess pine on the very end, though it’s not obnoxiously excessive. Malts show biscuit, light honey-caramel and are seemingly well-attenuated. Maybe just a touch of alcohol graces the finish, as well. The beer is clean.
Expected citrus and light tropical fruit notes in the flavor, as orange, cherry and ruby red grapefruit dominate, though allow minor pineapple/peach notes, as well. There’s definitely a good deal of bitterness, too much for my weak palate but some substantial maltiness does help mitigate this somewhat. Carbonation is low but fairly engaging, sweetness is low to moderate and a good deal of grapefruit and pine bitterness lingers with light alcohol. Nothing interesting/exciting/particularly well-done here, but if you want a standard West Coast DIPA, this is competent.

Hazy gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is light and dry. Reasonable fine carbonation. Mildly sweet pale malts. Floral bitter hop dominates, a modicum of orangey citrus. Trace of lemon before a light dry bitterish finish. In some ways quite English. Standard stuff.
